Life is challenging, and one of the hardest questions is, "What is my purpose?" To find this, you need to discover your Ikigai, the Japanese secret to a long, happy life.

Ikigai consists of four key elements:

What you LOVE: Activities and interests that bring you joy.
What you are GOOD AT: Your skills and talents.
What the WORLD NEEDS: Areas in demand in society.
What you can be PAID FOR: Activities that provide financial compensation.
The intersections of these circles reveal:

Passion: LOVE + GOOD AT
Mission: LOVE + WORLD NEEDS
Profession: GOOD AT + PAID FOR
Vocation: WORLD NEEDS + PAID FOR
At the center, where all four elements overlap, is Ikigai, representing a balanced life where passion, mission, profession, and vocation align, leading to a sense of purpose and satisfaction.

Try identifying your Ikigai and share in the comments! For me, "Math" fits all four sections, making it my Ikigai. Remember, it’s okay if your opinions change—just keep track of why you started.

Now, the main part: I believe being ordinary is bad. The purpose of life is to:

This IMO was special:
i) India ranked #4 worldwide🎉🎉🎊! Congrats India... Individually India got a participant (Aditya) in Top 5 of all participants... A big feat indeed.
ii) USA for the first time beat China in 30 years! Crazy how dominant china were...
iii) I solved my first IMO problem🎉(P1, coz didnt try others)... This is special coz I was going through a curse of IMO lol...
iv) There was like 1 question of Geo... This is crazy coz IMO and geo are like inseparable brothers.

The other Olympiad that concluded this year was the IBO: India got a gold and the person who snatched it was Vedant Sakre, who was the 30th best in the competition...

The IPhO and the IChO starts tomorrow: Best of luck India.

The IOI is from Sept 1 - Sept 8 2024
