Scientists Are Revealing The Ancient Astronomy Secrets That Once Helped Build The Pyramids
Ever since humans could look up to see the sky, we have been amazed by its beauty and untold mysteries. Naturally then, astronomy is often described as the oldest of the sciences, inspiring people for thousands of years. Celestial phenomena are featured inβ¦

Here's a Simple Explanation of Stephen Hawking's Greatest Contribution to Science
Mathematical physicist and cosmologist Stephen Hawking was best known for his work exploring the relationship between black holes and quantum physics. A black hole is the remnant of a dying supermassive star that's fallen into itself; these remnants contractβ¦

These 4 Cosmic Phenomena Travel Faster Than The Speed of Light
When Albert Einstein first predicted that light travels the same speed everywhere in our Universe, he essentially stamped a speed limit on it: 299,792 kilometres per second (186,282 miles per second) - fast enough to circle the entire Earth eight times everyβ¦

Welcome to The Deepest Hole in The World
Deep in western Russia, if you know where to look, you'll find a small collection of ragged scrap metal and crumbled concrete. Which isn't that exciting. But if you rifle through the rubble, you will find a large, metal disc bolted to the ground. This isn'tβ¦
ββThis Incredibly Rare Deep-Sea Video of Mating Anglerfish Is Stunning Biologists
Anglerfish are weird and mysterious creatures. They live hundreds of metres below sea level, and we have very few specimens of these bizarre animals. Even fewer have been seen alive in the deep ocean they inhabit.
But a new video released through Science Magazine shows not just one, but two anglerfish, in the 'close' mating arrangement these creatures are known for.
But despite how exciting and weird these creatures are, there's only a handful of videos, and never one of a mating pair⦠until now.

NASA Couldn't Explain What Made This Strange, Deep Hole on Mars
As we celebrate 2000 days of Curiosity's exploration, we should remember it's just one of an army of robotic eyes throughout space exploration history. You'd think NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) has seen everything there is to see on the Martianβ¦

The Ocean Has Released an Insane Amount of CO2, And No One Even Noticed
Our planet's climate is built on a whole host of interlinked chemical reactions and counter-reactions, and we just learned about another: an underwater heatwave has triggered a worryingly huge release of CO2 from Amphibolis antarctica seagrass off north-westernβ¦

ββScientists Print All-Liquid 3-D Structures
Berkeley Lab scientists have developed a way to print 3-D structures composed entirely of liquids. Using a modified 3-D printer, they injected threads of water into silicone oil β sculpting tubes made of one liquid within another liquid.
They envision their all-liquid material could be used to construct liquid electronics that power flexible, stretchable devices. The scientists also foresee chemically tuning the tubes and flowing molecules through them, leading to new ways to separate molecules or precisely deliver nanoscale building blocks to under-construction compounds.
