POLYSTORAGE Winterschool 2023 was taking place in Italy🇮🇹

🔋It was a perfect combination of lectures from leading professors in the field of solid-state energy storage, related materials, advanced characterisation, and production, as well as set of networking events as Poster presentations by participants.

⛷️And of course, there was time to relax and enjoy skiing in front of the beautiful landscapes of Italian Alps.

Thanks to Ivan Volodin for sharing photos and telling us more details from the event: «Finally share the great experience of visiting a Polystorage Project organized conference in Sestriere!🎉 The conference was really great. The reports and lectures were very insightful. A lot of specialists from various fields in the area "Polymers for Energy Storage" have really created a great synergy. Great thanks to the organisers for letting us make new contacts and experiences during the event! It has shown me a way to improve more intensively😏
Last but not the least: Italian food and Alps are awesome!😇»
🎉Congratulations to Dr. Cinar on successfully defending her dissertation on the topic “Physicochemical aspects of pharmaceutically-relevant polymers and nanoparticles in solution”🎉

Your hard work, dedication, and passion for chemistry research have truly paid off. Wishing you all the best in your future career!

📣MULTIPLE PHD AND POSTDOC POSITIONS

At the a newly founded research group at the University of Jena (Germany), led by Kevin Maik Jablonka, we are looking for highly motivated Ph.D. students and postdocs for projects at the intersection of machine learning and chemistry and material science (digital chemistry), with a focus on data-driven design of polymer materials for energy applications.

We will have multiple fully funded positions starting in summer/fall 2023.

Together, we will create impactful methods for accelerated material discovery across scales—ultimately helping us identify materials that work in the real world while also increasing understanding of why those materials work.

For more background on Kevin’s thinking see his website and publications, you can contact him mail@kjablonka.com or Twitter.
