🔥 600,000 ETH were burned on the Ethereum network
After the London update on August 5, 600,000 ETH worth $2.4 billion were burned. NFT marketplace OpenSea destroyed the most (85,700 ETH), transfers on the Ethereum network burned 53,800 ETH, and the Uniswap V2 exchange burned over 35,600 ETH.
Don't forget that there will be an Altair update on the Ethereum 2.0 network on October 27, which will allow developers to test the update mechanism in the core network before merging Ethereum 2.0 with the existing network on Proof-of-Work.
Perhaps after that we will know a more precise timeline for the Ethereum and Ethereum 2.0 merger.
