What should i post about in this channel? Please answer me in the poll below 👇
(You can pick several options)
You’re lucky because I had an unfortunate attempt of applying to the US this year, lol

But I was also accepted to one university in Europe, so I have some knowledge.

How to apply to universities abroad? Part 1🧐

Applying to the US universities 🇺🇸

I decided to make a little comeback, and in this post i’m going to explain the main info about applying to universities abroad — specifically the US 🇺🇸
I will explain the application process to Europe later in this channel.

Generally speaking, being admitted to a US university as an international student is really hard. If you seek financial aid, it’s even harder. So if you don’t have the best stats or the money to apply to the US universities, I would recommend you to apply to Europe. But if you decided to go the US, here is some essential info.

ℹ️ what do you need to apply to the US universities

🛑main info about you (name, surname, age, country etc.)
🛑Your standarized test scores (SAT, TOEFL, IELTS) and your local exam scores (not required but could help)
🛑Your school transcripts (school marks from 9,10,11,12 grades). If you have only 11 grades in your country it’s not a problem.
🛑Your main essay (you pick the topic by yourself). 650 words.
🛑Extracurricular activities
🛑Honors (awards and achievements)
🛑recommendations by your teachers
🛑Counselor’s approval

🛑 The whole application system is run through Common App

consider that this is the main info, some universities may require additional essays or questions about financial aid.

While preparing everything, I strongly recommend you to not use AI tools in your application and also start preparing to application 2-3 months prior the deadline. This time will be enough to prepare your essays, recommendations and other stuff.

The application period for Early Action and Early Decision usually starts on october. Applying on Early Action and Early Decision is supposed to improve your chances — but it doesn’t really matter, in my opinion. It’s better to prepare fully and apply to Regular application period (november-january).

This is all for now, I’ll continue making posts about applying to universities abroad. Subscribe and turn on notifications to not miss anything 🔔
