We are deeply saddened to inform you that Nilesh Rai, a UPSC aspirant, tragically lost his life due to electrocution. This incident occurred yesterday when he stepped into rainwater collected near Patel Nagar Metro Station in Delhi. Nilesh was preparing to write the Mains this year (cleared prelims for the 1st time in his 5 attempts)

As we face heavy rains and waterlogging in the ORN and Mukherjee Nagar areas, we urge everyone to exercise extreme caution. Electrical hazards pose a significant risk, especially with the dense cable networks in these neighborhoods.

Please follow these safety precautions:

1. Avoid Metal Objects: Refrain from touching any metal objects during this period.
2. Avoid Standing Water: Stay away from areas with standing water whenever possible.
3. Stay Informed: Keep an eye on weather updates and heed any warnings issued.

Your safety should be your top priority. Let's all take care and ensure we navigate this challenging weather safely.

The optional subject plays a game. changing role in securing high ranks in the Civil Services Exam and is pivotal for your final selection, constituting 500 marks of the UPSC Mains Examination.
