💻 My React Learning Journey – Current Progress

Lately I’ve been spending time learning React and improving my frontend development skills.

So far in my journey I’ve learned and practiced:
• How React works and why developers use it
• Component-based architecture
• Passing data using props
• Structuring React applications

One thing I’m starting to understand more clearly is that React changes the way we think about building user interfaces.

React mainly focuses on the View layer of the MVC architecture.

MVC stands for Model–View–Controller, a design pattern developers often follow when building applications.

Here are the three parts:

1️ Model
Handles the data logic and interactions with the database.

2️ View
This is where React comes in. The View displays information from the Model and handles the user interface.

React builds the UI using components, which are reusable blocks of code. Each component returns React elements, usually written in JSX.

JSX is a syntax that allows us to write HTML-like code inside JavaScript, which makes UI development easier and more readable,and our components will be saved with .jsx extension if we used jsx react elements inside our components .

3️ Controller
Acts as a bridge between the Model and the View. It controls the data flow and updates the View whenever the data changes.

Another interesting thing I learned is that React works with two main libraries:
• React
• ReactDOM

React is responsible for creating UI components and tracking changes.
ReactDOM is responsible for rendering those components in the browser.

React becomes fast because it uses something called the Virtual DOM, which is a lightweight JavaScript representation of the real DOM.

When data changes:
• React first updates the Virtual DOM
• Then it compares it with the Real DOM
• Finally, it updates only the parts that actually changed

This makes UI updates much faster and more efficient.

Instead of building one large page, React all Us to build small reusable components and connect them together.

Right now my focus is:
• Getting more comfortable with props and component communication
• Practicing by building small projects also i am changing one of my projects into react based ..and i will keep you guys updated.
the goal is to become a stronger at frontend and eventually build real-world applications with React

Is authentication for desktop application complicated 🤔

I need an answer for this since I have been working on desktop application project and have a MVP already and thinkng to add authentication.

But when I did so got the info that it's kinda complicated and might take time ...also different from web authentication 🤓.

🌊 I've been on this streak for 30 days, and today's the last day and the beginning of another round. Another energy.

Here's what round one gave me:

📚 I learned a lot from a lot of different things this round, not just tech. And the point is, I didn't let the momentum I had at the start slide.

💻 I worked on a project that's fully my own idea, born from my own struggles. Through building it, I learned a ton picked up Electron as a completely new addition to my stack, and along the way strengthened my React knowledge too. The project is at MVP status now, thinking about adding authentication next, and I'll drop it soon, hopefully.

✅ On habits and non-negotiables I wasn't always fully active on all of them, but I still showed up. And by the end of this round, some of them have actually stuck to my routine.

🎯 The thing I'm most proud of: I took a risk I'd been hesitating on, because I kept imagining the worst-case scenario. I did it scared anyway. That's a big win, and I'm planning to do more of it. If it works out, I'll share the whole story it's tech and business related.

💛 And then there's this channel. This has been my hive to grow together with you all. Being honest there was a point I almost quit. One person kept encouraging me to grow this channel and keep the momentum, even when nobody was reacting to my posts and it felt like no one cared. Thank you, fr, for that support.@Mati_12021

Because I kept going, I found people here who really are my folks who care about what I post, support me, share what mattered to them from this hive. You know who you are. Thank you, fr.
