The Best Dua On Laylatul Qadr
«اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي»
Allaahumma Innaka Affuwwun, Tuhibbu Al Affwa, Fa’afu ‘Annee
O Allaah, indeed You pardon and You love pardoning so pardon me.
In another narration there is an extra word:
«اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ كَرِيمٌ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي»
O Allaah, indeed You pardon [generously] and You love pardoning so pardon me.
An explanation of the status of an extra wording in the Dua’.
Shaykh Al-Albaani after researching this narration in detail says:
❝[Notice]: There occurs in ‘Sunnan Tirmidhi’ after the word 'pardon' an extra word: 'generously!' There is no origin for this word in any of the preceding sources mentioned, or in any other books from which this narration has been quoted.
What is apparent is that this word has been added from some transcribers or publishers, since it is not in the Indian print of ‘Sunnan Tirmidhi’ which has the explanation of ‘Tuhfah Al-Ahwaadi’ by Mubarakfoori, or in any other book. What strengthens this point is that Nisa’ee in some of his narrations collected it from the same chain from which Tirmidhi collected it, and both of them from their Shaykh [Qutaybah Bin Saeed] from his chain without the extra word.❞

The Multiplying Of Righteous Actions In Makkah
Question: I usually fast Ramadan in Makkah Al-Mukaramah every year, is there a specific virtue for those outside of Makkah?
Shaykh Abdul Azeez Bin Baz [رحمه الله] [D. 1420 A.H.] said:
❝There is no doubt that Makkah Al-Mukaramah is the best area to Allaah, prayer in the Masjid Al-Haram is better than hundred thousand prayers than any other Masjid.
Likewise there is no doubt that righteous deeds in the two noble Harams are multiplied so much that only Allaah knows the amount, except for the prayer since its amount has been mentioned.
Fasting of Ramadan in Makkah Al-Mukaramah combines the virtue of the time and the place. Whoever is given success for fasting Ramadan in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and as long as it does not result in cancelling an obligation which a person has been tasked with, or abandoning a responsibility with which a person has been assigned. So fasting with a righteous intention has great goodness.
If a Muslim staying outside of the Haram area was more beneficial to himself or the Muslims for their religion, and resulted in great advantages and many benefits, then it is better for the Muslim to stay in the place in which there is an increase of his benefit for the Muslims and he has a lot of good deeds for that.❞

Seal The Month Of Ramadan With Seeking Forgiveness
Ibn Rajab [رحمه الله] said:
❝Seeking forgiveness is a seal for all righteous deeds. It seals the prayer, Hajj, Qayyam Al-Layl the night prayer and it seals gatherings. Therefore, if it was a Remembrance of Allaah then it is like putting a stamp of seal on it and if there were mistakes and deficiencies then it would be an expiation for it. Likewise it is befitting to complete the month of Ramadan with seeking forgiveness.
Umar Bin AbdulAziz wrote to the different regions commanding them to complete Ramadan with seeking forgiveness and giving Sadaqa Al-Fitr. Indeed Sadaqa Al-Fitr is purification for the fasting person from mistakes and evil deeds and seeking forgiveness patches that which is torn from the fast due to mistakes and evil deeds.
This is why some of the previous scholars said: 'Indeed Sadaqa Al-Fitr for the fasting person is like performing the two Sajdas for forgetfulness for the prayer.'
Umar Bin AbdulAziz [Died 101 A.H.] [رحمه الله] said in his book, say as your father Adam said:
﴿رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنْفُسَنَا وَإِنْ لَمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ﴾
«They said: 'Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If You forgive us not, and bestow not upon us Your Mercy, we shall certainly be of the losers.'» [Ara’af: 23]
Say as Nuh [عليه سلم] said:
﴿وَإِلَّا تَغْفِرْ لِي وَتَرْحَمْنِي أَكُنْ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ﴾
«And unless You forgive me and have Mercy on me, I would indeed be one of the losers.» [Hud: 47]
Say as Musa [عليه سلم] said:
﴿رَبِّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي﴾
«My Lord! Verily, I have wronged myself, so forgive me.» [Qasas: 16]
Say as Dhul-Noon [عليه سلم] said:
﴿سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ﴾
«Glorified [and Exalted] are You [above all that [evil] they associate with You]. Truly, I have been of the wrong-doers.» [Al-Anbiyya: 87].❞
