◼️ On April 25, armed anti-government groups committed a series of coordinated attacks in the Malian capital and the neighbouring regions – Mopti, Gao and Kidal.
Two hundred and fifty militants attacked Bamako Senou International Airport and the military base located nearby.
The Malian Armed Forces repelled the attack and are currently taking further steps to eliminate the militia that may have been, reportedly, trained by Western security agencies.
Russia is deeply concerned about these developments. This terrorist activity poses a direct threat to the stability of friendly #Mali and could have the most serious consequences for the entire region.
According to the Russian Embassy in Bamako, no victims among Russian nationals have been reported to date. The Russian diplomatic mission maintains continuous contact with Mali’s competent agencies.
❗️ The Russian Foreign Ministry advises Russian citizens against travelling to Mali. Those already in the country should take all necessary precautions.
Moscow will continue to monitor the developments closely.

✅ More complex, multipolar architecture of global development in the world is being formed
✅ The model of global development will be sustainable if it is based on principles of equality and takes into account the interests of all countries
✅ All the elements of global growth, from economics and finance to technology and demography, are changing irreversibly
✅ No country can develop alone, at expense of other states or to their detriment

In these days, the world marks the 40th anniversary of the tragedy at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant - one of the worst man-made disasters in human history.
Remembering Chernobyl is not just about laying flowers at memorials. It is about the daily, painstaking work of strengthening radiation and nuclear safety - work that, unfortunately, some states are now putting at risk.
On April 27, another reckless and criminal attack by Ukraine was carried out against a civilian nuclear facility - the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant. As a result of this attack, a station employee was tragically killed.
Such actions demonstrate a dangerous disregard for nuclear safety principles by the Kiev regime.
It is equally alarming that in Europe there are those willing to justify such steps, turning a blind eye to the risks they pose to the entire region.
Creating radiological threats in the center of Europe is playing with consequences that cannot be fully controlled.
The tragedy that occurred is a stark reminder of what escalation around facilities - where the cost of error is immeasurably high - can lead to.
