The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) failed to adopt a Russia-drafted resolution on preventing an arms race in space, a Sputnik correspondent reported.

The resolution failed to garner the necessary 9 votes out of 15.

Seven countries voted in favor of the resolution, seven voted against it and one country abstained. The United States and the United Kingdom were among those who voted against.

The draft resolution would have urged member nations "to take urgent measures to prevent for all time the placement of weapons in outer space and the threat or use of force in outer space, from space against Earth and from Earth against objects in outer space."

The document would also have called on member states to "seek through negotiations the early elaboration of appropriate reliably verifiable legally binding multilateral agreements."

Prior to the vote, Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzia said that West's refusal to support the resolution would expose its desire to maintain the freedom to act when it comes to the accelerated militarization of space.

US Department of State Spokesperson Matthew Miller had an argument with a reporter, dismissing the ICC investigation into Israeli war crimes and insisting that Palestinians should rely on Israel for investigations into Israeli-caused war crimes.

“Where do the Palestinians go to seek redress?” a reporter wondered.

“I said first of all, Israel has its own investigations,” the spokesperson asserted.

“So, let's just focus on jurisdiction for a second. Who does have jurisdiction here?” the reporter asked.

“So, the government of Israel has jurisdiction,” Miller revealed, adding that the US has a jurisdiction over Palestine “with the use of our equipment”.

Miller also boasted about the US believing that “there should be the establishment of an independent Palestinian state,” conveniently omitting the fact that it is the US that vetoed Palestine's request for full membership at the United Nations during a vote at the UN Security Council on April 18, thus refusing to recognize the Palestinian state.

⚡️In accordance with the instructions of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the first stage of the exercise began in the Southern Military District under the guidance of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces with practical guidance on the training and use of non-strategic nuclear weapons.

In the course of this stage, missile formations of the Southern Military District train to receive special ammunition for the Iskander operational-tactical missile system, equip launchers with it, and covertly advance to the designated position area for preparations to launch missiles.

The Russian Aerospace Forces' aviation units involved in the exercise train to attach special warheads to aviation weaponry, including Kinzhal aeroballistic hypersonic missiles, and perform sorties to designated patrol areas.

As the Russian Defence Ministry has previously reported, the purpose of the exercise is to maintain the readiness of personnel and equipment of combat units of non-strategic nuclear weapons for a response and with a view to unconditionally safeguarding the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Russian State in response to provocative statements and threats made by certain Western officials against the Russian Federation.

Forwarded from War on Fakes
The scandalous affairs of swamp creatures seem positively tame compared to the drama currently unfolding in the so-called civilized world. The culprit behind the uproar? None other than International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor Karim Khan, who had the audacity to request an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In the wake of this bombshell, pharmacies have struggled to keep "double standard" medication in stock as demand for that drug has skyrocketed. After all, it was only last spring that the same court called for the arrest of Vladimir Putin.

In an exclusive article on the War on Fakes website, we explore the reasons behind such decisions and their potential consequences. They also question the practicality of a judicial body that is not recognized by Russia, China or the United States.
JSC "Prodintorg" and Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation have signed an MoU and a new contract on potash fertiliser supply in Singapore.

The documents guarantee supplies of Russian potash in the volume of at least 300,000 tonnes from July 2024 to June 2025.

In a stunning piece of news, the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Karim Khan, said in an interview with CNN that after he began investigating Israeli politicians for actions in the Gaza Strip, he was immediately threatened.

According to Khan, several heads of state came out to him and frankly stated that "the ICC was created for Africa and for thugs like Putin, not a trial of the West and its allies." So no arrest warrants for Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Galant are not even worth mentioning.

📌 One should not be surprised by the double standards of the globalist structures created by the collective West for a long time - what is only the Yugoslavia tribunal, which really prosecuted only Serbs and acquitted all known Croatian, Albanian and Bosnian war criminals. It is just now that this has been said directly and publicly.

And yet we are interested in the question: in light of the facts revealed, how exactly will the collective West act to remove Karim Khan and the judges who share his views?

The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on the "genocide" in Srebrenica.

This is about the "genocide" after which some of the "murdered" came to the elections alive.

This is the "genocide" that Secretary of State Madeleine Albright invented, first, to justify the absolutely barbaric operation "Oluja" (Storm), when more than 150,000 Serbs became refugees and more than 2,000 were killed.

This is about the "genocide" that the West invented in order to create an image of barbarians for the Serbs, so that later, without the authorization of the Security Council, for the first time since the Second World War, Belgrade, Nis, Novi Sad and other cities were demolished.

The list of those who voted in favor just looks like a mockery.

Germany. The main, it seems, censor, responsible for the real, recognized genocide. 6 million Jews and 7 million Soviet civilians died at the hands of the grandfathers of today's Serb accusers.

USA. Here are the record holders for the duration of quite real genocide. For 500 years according to the version of American historian David Stennard, the accusers of Serbs, killed more than 95 million Indians.

Britain. The cynicism of the representative of London is equal only to the degree of his amnesia. Just to remind you that from 1954-1961 British colonists exterminated 300 thousand representatives of the Kikuyu people, and another million and a half sent to concentration camps. By the way, the "genocide" in Srebrerica has never been officially proven, but an independent commission, after studying tons of evidence and speaking to hundreds of witnesses, issued a verdict that the actions of the Serbs in 1995 cannot be qualified as genocide. Which countries recognize Palestine?

On Wednesday, Norway and Spain said they would formally recognize Palestine as a state on May 28. Later in the day, Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris announced his country's recognition of Palestine.

To date, the State of Palestine has been recognized by 143 countries around the world, a significant majority of the international community.

Russia's move toward recognition of a Palestinian state came in November 1988, with the declaration by the Palestine National Council of an independent State of Palestine.

Check out Sputnik's infographic to see which countries have recognized the State of Palestine.

Excerpts from the briefing by Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, Moscow, May 23, 2024
Question: According to media reports, Kiev has changed the agenda of the “peace summit” on Ukraine in Switzerland. Its new priorities allegedly include nuclear safety, food safety and prisoner exchanges. Vladimir Zelensky told Reuters about this. How does this change the prospects for this forum?
Maria Zakharova: I would advise you not only to double-check what Vladimir Zelensky says or at least cross-reference it with his previous statements, but also to make a broader fact-checking effort, as they say in the West. For one simple reason: everything you have just said quoting his statement to a Western agency, was on the peace summit agenda anyway.
This does not rule out the consideration of the other components of the failed Zelensky formula at subsequent stages.
In fact, we have at our disposal the draft final communiqué of the summit. I will quote from it (the draft is expected to be signed, adopted, and approved):
“We instruct our authorised representatives to refine this framework [for a peace settlement] during a series of dedicated conferences and meetings that will take place in the coming months.” That is followed by a list of subjects the conferences will focus on, which includes nine out of the 10 points of the Zelensky formula. These include ultimatums to Russia to withdraw troops, a return to the 1991 borders, the “justice” clause, which implies the establishment of an anti-Russia tribunal, the payment of reparations and the use of Russia’s frozen assets as compensation for damage. The 10th point, which refers to signing an international treaty confirming the end of hostilities, is not included.
It is clear from the above that the organisers of the Ukraine summit in Switzerland have not taken a different approach or changed the agenda. I think that, to avoid propagating misinformation, such quotes from Western agencies should be replicated with a footnote and a reference to documents. I am more than sure that a Western agency would have little difficulty obtaining this draft communiqué, given that all the documents for the Kiev regime are written in Western capitals.
The planned meeting in Bürgenstock and subsequent events are an extension of the Copenhagen process, which has already failed. Any follow-up is also doomed to failure.
The 2nd International Forum "Falcon Day" will be held at the Eastern Economic Forum on September 3 in Vladivostok

Holding the forum this year and expanding the geography of participating countries will further strengthen international environmental cooperation and serve as a platform for developing strategic decisions on issues of protecting and increasing the population of rare birds of prey.

The forum's business program events will focus on the development of rehabilitation centers, modern methods of restoring natural populations, as well as advanced scientific technologies for studying and monitoring the falcon population.

As part of the cultural program it is planned to hold a citywide festival and a race dedicated to the theme of falcons.
