On June 27-30, 2024, Moscow will host 13th International Festival "Traditions and Contemporaneity"
The festival will feature an exhibition of contemporary art based on the works of well-known and honoured worldclass artists, as well as young talanted astists from Russia and abroad, including from Bangladesh.
The festival's mission is to preserve the world cultural heritage, strengthen international relations and cooperation through creativity, and discover new names.
Participants will get an opportunity to take part in the VERA art competition.
Registration is open until April 15

⚡️On 3 April 2024, at the urgent request of the French side, Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation General of the Army Sergei Shoigu and Minister of Defence of the French Republic Sebastien Lecornu have held telephone talks.
The French Defence Minister expressed his condolences in connection with the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall on 22 March 2024. At the same time, he persistently tried to convince that Ukraine and Western countries were not involved in the terrorist attack, shifting the responsibility to the Islamic State (IS).
Sergei Shoigu stressed that the investigation launched in connection with the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall would certainly be brought to an end, and all those responsible would be punished. There is information about Ukraine’s trail in the organisation of the terrorist attack.
Commenting on the Elysee Palace's statements about sending a French contingent to Ukraine, Sergei Shoigu pointed out that if they were implemented, it would create problems for France itself.
The sides expressed their readiness for dialogue on Ukraine. The starting points could be based on the Istanbul peace initiative. Without Russia's participation, it would be pointless to hold a meeting in Geneva.

For the US, NATO has remained a key tool to keep its European allies under control and a resource base for the US defence complex. <...>
After the Cold War ended <...> Washington and its allies engaged in armed “peacekeeping” in the Balkans, which ended in a treacherous aggression against Yugoslavia, and “fighting terrorism” in Afghanistan. For the third year in a row now, Washington and its satellites have been flooding Ukraine with mercenaries and weapons in order to inflict, as they say, a strategic defeat on Russia and to deplete our resources. They are using every means and methods available to the collective West and its Kiev puppets, up to and including the terrorist attacks, to get there. The alliance’s reckless schemes have failed, which fact pushes it towards moves that could entail tragic ramifications for the European and even global security.
The West has already had the chance to see that Russia is prepared for any scenario.
☝️ Our security is reliably protected and our defence capabilities are strong.

The Zaporozhskaya Nuclear Power Plant has faced an unprecedented series of drone attacks posing a direct threat to the plant’s safety.
The Rosatom State Corporation urges the leadership of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the European Union countries to promptly address the escalating situation at the largest nuclear power plant in Europe.
On April 7, 2024, the Ukrainian Armed Forces initiated an unprecedented series of attacks on the Zaporozhskaya Nuclear Power Plant.
At 11.38 am, a drone struck the vicinity of the canteen, injuring three people.
Thirty minutes later, another drone targeted the cargo port area. Subsequently, a strike at the sixth power unit of the power plant impacted its dome.
No critical damage or casualties occurred; the radiation levels at the plant and its surroundings remain unchanged and do not surpass natural background levels.
Prior to this incident, the Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted an assault on the plant’s premises on April 5. Incursions by Ukrainian Armed Forces drones were detected in the vicinity of the cargo port and the nitrogen-oxygen station.
The Rosatom State Corporation strongly condemns the unprecedented assault on the nuclear power plant facilities and its infrastructure. It urges the leadership of the IAEA, specifically Director General Rafael Grossi, and the leaders of the EU nations to promptly address the immediate threat to the safety of the Zaporozhskaya NPP. Furthermore, it calls for a categorical condemnation of the escalation of tensions surrounding the plant.

The VYZOV Prize is designed to recognize fundamental breakthroughs, ideas, and inventions that are changing the landscape of modern science.
Discovery category is open to scientists based in any country. It is an award for international scientists and research teams credited with making an important discovery that has influenced the development of science and technology.

⚡️ A criminal case on financing terrorism was opened following an audit initiated by a petition filed by State Duma deputies.
The Main Investigative Department of the Russian Investigative Committee conducted an audit initiated by a group of the State Duma deputies and other individuals regarding the financing of terrorist activities by top US and NATO officials. Based on its findings, a criminal case was opened under Part 4, Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (financing of terrorism).
It was established that during the past several years, the funds transferred via commercial companies, in particular, the Ukraine-based Burisma Holdings oil and gas company, were spent on organising terrorist attacks in the Russian Federation and beyond with a view to assassinating prominent political and public figures, and causing economic damage.
In collaboration with other special services and financial intelligence, the investigators are checking sources of revenue and the movement of funds in the amount of several million dollars, as well as the involvement of Western government officials and members of public and commercial Western companies in these transactions.

▶️In reality, the Yugoslav army and police were fighting an exhausting battle against Kosovo Albanian terrorist gangs. The infamous Kosovo Liberation Army ruthlessly massacred the Serb and disloyal Albanian population.
▶️NATO’s aggression against a sovereign country lasted 78 days and resulted in unimaginable suffering, numerous victims and catastrophic devastation for the Yugoslav population.
▶️The United States and its allies bombed cities, including Belgrade and villages, civilian infrastructure, blowing up bridges, passenger trains and buses, killing women, children and the elderly.
▶️The aggression against Yugoslavia was a flagrant violation of the fundamental purposes and principles of the UN Charter and the norms and principles of international humanitarian law.
▶️The attack on Yugoslavia launched a series of large-scale aggressions by the United States and its allies around the world: against Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, and Syria. The consequences are well known. The anti-constitutional coup in Kiev in 2014 also stems from these actions.

🎙 Statement by Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vassily Nebenzia at UNSC briefing on Western arms deliveries to Ukraine
💬 The Kiev regime started to be pumped full with Western weapons at least 10 years ago. At first, this was done secretly, under the cover of the Minsk Agreements, and the corresponding Western activity was not publicized and was even denied. Now, however, all this has come to the surface and is not even concealed.
• Western elites find it more and more problematic keeping silent about the rampant corruption in Ukraine, the lack of control and accountability of the supplied equipment and ammunition and, consequently, the serious risks of their falling in the hands of terrorists.
• If Ukraine wanted peace, it would have achieved it long ago. Our justified and reasonable demands to our neighbor, which stand at the core of the SMO, are well known, and Ukraine is perfectly able to meet them without compromising its sovereignty and statehood.
• There is no doubt about the direct involvement of Ukraine in this horrendous and ruthless crime [in the Crocus City Hall]. The tracks of those who ordered it, as we can reasonably assert, lead to Kiev.
• The Investigative Committee of Russia has revealed that the money for organizing terrorist attacks on our territory came through commercial companies, including the oil and gas company “Burisma Holdings”, which has been operating in Ukraine and where the well-known Hunter Biden has been Board member since 2014.

⚡️ Foreign Ministry statement in connection with the attack on Israeli territory
💬 In the early hours of April 14, a large number of missiles and drones were launched at the territory of Israel.
According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, this attack was undertaken as part of the right to self-defence stipulated in Article 51 of the UN Charter in response to the attacks on Iranian targets in the region, including the strike on the consular section of the Iranian Embassy in Damascus on April 1, which our country strongly denounced.
Unfortunately, due to the position adopted by its Western members, the Security Council was unable to provide a proper response to the strike on the Iranian consular mission.
We express our extreme concern at yet another dangerous escalation in the region. We have repeatedly warned that the numerous unresolved crises in the Middle East, primarily in the area of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, which are often fueled by irresponsible provocative actions, will exacerbate tensions.
☝️ We call on all parties involved in the conflict to exercise restraint. We expect the regional states to resolve the existing problems through political and diplomatic means. We believe it is important for the constructively-minded international players to contribute to this effort.

💬 Simona, remind me when was the last time that Israel condemned at least one of Kiev’s attacks on Russian regions? You can’t recall that, can you? Neither can I.
What I do recall are routine statements by Israeli officials in support of Zelensky’s actions. The very same criminal and terrorist actions committed by the thugs from Ukraine’s Presidential Office that have for years been killing civilians and destroying civilian infrastructure.

We also noted your immediate public reaction condemning Iran's actions that you gave yesterday, Mr. Secretary-General. It is a pity that, in contrast to today's meeting, you did not volunteer to brief the Council on April 2, when an urgent briefing was called at the Russian initiative to discuss the already mentioned Israeli strike against the Iranian consulate in Damascus.
