🇺🇸 Seymour Hersh claims that the US planned the sabotage at Nord Stream back in 2021.
Other statements of the journalist from an interview with the German publication Tichys Einblick:
▪️ The United States operates on the principle of "you are with us or against us", so the sabotage was invented in order to threaten the Russian Federation and prevent the implementation of the special military operation;
▪️Biden has a chance to take a place in the list of the most stupid US presidents after World War II, because it was unwise to blow up the gas supply of an ally, that is, Germany;
▪️the US government will never admit responsibility for the attack on Nord Stream, and the American press is pleased with this;
▪️ By blowing up gas pipelines, Biden told Europe that he lacks its support and that he needs more money from NATO partners.

🎙 Comment by MFA Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on the joint statement by the UK and France on the 25th anniversary of their ratification of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT)
💬 On April 6, the UK and France published a joint statement on the 25th anniversary of their ratification of the CTBT. Along with standard statements about their impeccable observance of the treaty, they expressed completely unfounded grievances toward our country.
In this context, it is important to note that having ratified this Treaty in 2000, Russia has strictly observed its provisions.
The CTBT still has not entered into force because eight countries whose ratification is necessary have not yet acceded to it.
❗️ The US is primarily responsible for this because many of these eight states are guided by its position.
Characteristically, London and Paris have either forgotten or been afraid to mention Washington’s far from impeccable record on the nuclear test ban.
In addition to its refusal to ratify the treaty, it is necessary to mention the US decision to enhance the readiness of its nuclear test site, the Nevada Test Site. However, the UK and France prefer to ignore the conduct of their suzerain.
☝️ It seems that both the US and its NATO allies stand to gain from the fact that the Treaty has not entered into force for more than 25 years since it opened for signing.

❗️We Want RT Closed — US State Department
James Rubin, the special envoy and coordinator of the US State Department's Center for Global Engagement, admitted that Washington wants to shut down Russian media worldwide, including RT.
He made particular mention of RT opening an office in Serbia. "We wouldn't want to see Russia Today or [other] Russian media anywhere in the world. We want them shut down,” he told Radio Free Europe, which incidentally is funded by the US government.
Following the claim that Russian media should be shuttered, Rubin reportedly lectured about the importance of freedom of speech. Which, it seems, only applies to US media.

🇷🇺🚀 Conquerors of outer space — the art for the Cosmonautics Day
On April 12, we want to remember those who daily try to move forward the most important and one of the most technologically advanced industries.
It is difficult to overestimate the importance of this activity. Right now, the Russian space group, as far as possible, provides the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation with communications, navigation and images in different spectra.

🎙 Comment by Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on the results of the UN Security Council meeting dedicated to countering the illicit and unregulated export of weapons and military equipment, held within the framework of the Russian Federation’s presidency
🗓 On April 10, the UN Нeadquarters in New York hosted the first central event under the Russian Security Council presidency: the open debate on the risks posed by the violation of obligations with regard to interstate supplies of military and double-purpose products.
The discussion showed that the Russian Federation’s approaches to this issue were shared by many UN member states from among its allies, countries that have traditionally been its partners and shared its ideology, primarily Belarus 🇧🇾, China 🇨🇳, India 🇮🇳, Iran 🇮🇷, Brazil 🇧🇷, and a number of other Asian, African, and Latin American countries.
<...>
We must state with regret that the three Western permanent members of the UN Security Council again indulged in their usual anti-Russian rhetoric and ungrounded accusations regarding the Ukraine crisis they had themselves engineered with support from their Euro-Atlantic allies.
☝️ Thus, contrary to the constructive approach demonstrated by the majority of the UN Security Council members and delegations from other UN member states which joined the debate, the detailed and quite professional discussion that came under way degenerated into irresponsible political demagoguery intended to further discredit the Russian Federation and other nations that are still able to hold their ground in the face of the collective West’s neocolonial ambitions.

⚡️ We noted the latest press release from the UN Secretariat on the Black Sea Grain Initiative for the export of Ukrainian food, which once again distorts data and facts. In this regard, we have to clarify the real state of affairs both with the implementation of the Black Sea Initiative and with the Russia-UN Memorandum on promoting domestic agricultural exports.
These documents, as is known, are interconnected parts of the package proposed by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
<...>
In general, we note that, despite all the grandiloquent statements made about global food security and assistance to countries in need, the Black Sea Grain Initiative has served Kiev’s commercial exports exclusively in the interests of Western countries.
<...>
The removal of obstacles to Russian agricultural exports was supposed to take place as part of the Russia-UN Memorandum, which the UN did not even mention this time. Such silence is not only a clear indicator of the UN Secretariat’s attitude to the package Antonio Guterres proposed, but also of the absence of any practical results regarding the Memorandum.
☝️ In this context, Russia reaffirms its position that there can be no discussion of the Black Sea Grain Initiative after May 18 without any progress regarding the five systematic problems.
