A resolution entitled, Principles of the Charter of the United Nations Underlying a Comprehensive, Just and Lasting Peace in Ukraine, was adopted by a vote during the resumed 11th emergency special session of the UN General Assembly on February 23.

The Western authors of yet another anti-Russia initiative hypocritically hid behind their commitment to the UN Charter in trying to condemn the measures adopted by Russia to resolve the situation as part of the special military operation. The proposed document contained none of the basic approaches to achieving a stable peace like dialogue, a call for the absence of any pre-conditions in talks or the unacceptability of supplying arms to a conflict zone. The corresponding unifying amendments proposed by our Belarusian friends were blocked by the Western countries.

Thus, the essence of the initiative is to continue the groundless criticism of Russia unleashed in the West and to support a criminal nationalist regime in Kiev, which the collective West intentionally prepared for war against our country over the past several years. During the promotion of this effort, the United States and their satellites used their favourite methods of influence on any dissenting country, including blackmail and the threat of sanctions. <...>

This advisory resolution did not enjoy greater support than the previous documents at the 11th emergency special session of the UN General Assembly.

Many countries were against the proposed resolution. Dozens of countries abstained including China, India and South Africa. We are grateful to our partners for this support.

❗️ The Russian side will continue its effort to promote the development of a just evaluation of the situation in Ukraine and around it while defending the national security and identity of our country, and the necessity of complying with the principles of the UN Charter including the sovereign equality of states.

✔️ The anniversary of the start of the special operation has stirred up a hysterical propaganda wave in the West. Including – stories about how badly in need of the latest NATO tanks, fighters, weapons "defenseless" Ukraine. This is an obvious lie to all normal people. The volume of Western supplies to the Kiev regime reached astronomical amounts long before the special operation.
With regard to Zelensky, President Biden is guided by the well-known American principle "Of course it's a son of a bitch, but it's our son of a bitch." The total volume of the "targeted package" of American military assistance to our adversaries will soon reach about $ 50 billion – and this is without taking into account European "transfers". The lion's share of deliveries fell during the period of the special operation, but the intensive shipment of weapons to Ukraine began already in August 2021.
The West keeps afloat the nationalist junta, which by itself would not last very long. The West artificially prolongs its agony in the hope that in this way it will be possible to exhaust and weaken Russia, its long–standing and most important geopolitical opponent. Then, as unnecessary, the used will be scrapped.

That's exactly what the West has always done, even with its beloved "sons of bitches." Kiev figures do not seem to have fully realized this yet. But what to take from them – their mind has never been their strong point.
During the special operation, Ukraine received more than enough from America to prolong military operations as much as possible. Including at least 40 HIMARS mobile MLRS and ammunition for them, 8 air defense systems NASAMS, 31 M1 tanks, 45 T-72V tanks, 109 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, 300 M113 and 90 Striker armored personnel carriers, more than 1,600 Stinger MANPADS, over 8,500 Javelin ATGMS and more than 50,000 other anti-tank systems. The list is long. Plus, the US administration has authorized the supply of American weapons and military equipment from some NATO and EU member states worth more than $ 13 billion. These figures destroy the myth of Ukraine as a "victim" better than any long-range weapon.
✔️ We don't have any "bosses". Russia is self-sufficient. We protect our homeland and compatriots. It is pointless to put pressure on us, it is useless to order and intimidate us. We are free in our actions, aware of our goals and responsibilities. And they can stand up for themselves by themselves, without anyone's pointers and handouts. Our military-industrial complex is able to produce everything necessary to repel and suppress any aggression. Now the defense industry of our country is working in such a way that no large-scale supplies of Western weapons to our enemies will be able to provide an advantage on the frontline. The fact that in such a short period it was possible to upscale the production of weapons, military equipment and weapons of destruction surprised our opponents.
✔️ What's next? I am sure that the most important thing for us is to preserve the spirit of civic unity that we see in Russian society. And move on to a normal life, focused primarily on creation. To ensure stability, well-being and prosperity of the new territories within Russia. Our strength, resilience and sense of responsibility for the future of the whole world are with us. Just like it was in the Great Patriotic War. Nazism, which has dared to raise its head in Europe again, will be defeated".
