The Ukrainian president was paraded around like “some kind of jester” at the “circus” which took place against the backdrop of reports of Russian POWs being shot by armed subordinates of the Ukrainian leader, FM Spox Maria Zakharova said on Friday.

She highlighted the hypocrisy that not one Western leader asked questions about the “blood of innocent lives, children’s lives on Zelensky’s hands.”

Moscow is “not surprised” by Oslo’s involvement in the Nord Stream sabotage attacks or by Washington’s denials, said Foreign ministry spox Maria Zakharova, before reiterating the need for Moscow’s involvement in an open investigation.

“We offered Sweden authorities help in the investigation - they refused,” Zakharova said. “They are not interested in the truth - they want to conceal the data.

“We are surprised by the State Dep calling it ‘complete nonsense’. The US rejoiced in the fact that Nord Stream became rubble. They are lying in real time and mocking those who raise genuine questions.

“Joe Biden declared something which he desired to happen before it happened: ‘There will be no Nord Stream 1 or Nord Stream 2, we will make it happen’. He said this before the special military operation.”

▪️The Russian Armed Forces carried out massive missile strikes on energy infrastructure facilities in Ukraine.

TPP-5 in Kyiv was hit: the generation hall and transformers were damaged. There are reports of hits on other power plants in the region.

▪️In Kharkiv, Russian missiles targeted CHP-5in the west of the city. The air defense positions covering the facility were exposed by a UAV attack.

A large part of the city suffered power cuts, and the city and railway transport functioning was disrupted.

▪️In Zaporizhzhia, several strikes hit the Dnipro HPP 1st generator hall.

The open switchgear and several transformers at the facility caught fire.

▪️The Kryvorizʹka Tes in Zelenodolsk was hit in Dnipro Region.

The operating turbine and other key electrical equipment were destroyed. At least one generator is damaged.

▪️Several energy facilities in Khmelnytskyi and Shepetivs'kyi districts came under massive missile attack.

Some parts of the region were left without power, communication cuts are present in the regional capital.

▪️Fighting resumed near Spirne near the gas compressor station, one of the AFU defense key points in this area.

The assault is complicated by the presence of an extensive network of underground communications and fortified firing positions.

▪️Assault detachments of the Wagner PMC, supported by the Russian Airborne Forces and artillery, are storming the village of Krasna Hora from three directions.

The enemy is suffering huge losses, the liberation of the village is a matter of time.

Russia Explains Stance On Peace Talks With Ukraine

Russia remains ready for peace talks with Ukraine, but these should take place with no preconditions and ought to account for realities on the ground, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin has said.

“There have already been negotiations” between Russian and Ukrainian representatives in Minsk and Istanbul, several weeks after the outbreak of the conflict in February last year, Vershinin told broadcaster Zvezda on Saturday. “As you remember, they were interrupted by the Ukrainian side.”

Decisions on such issues as a peace process “aren’t made in Kiev. The decisions are made in other capitals, first of all in Washington and Brussels. And that's whom one should address” about talks, the senior diplomat pointed out.

As for Russia’s stance, he reiterated that “any military action concludes with negotiations and, as we’ve said earlier, we’ll be ready for such negotiations.”
