💬 I believe that the exceptionalism and the absolute conviction in their own infallibility and superiority is the main reason why we are now opposing the countries that are using the Kiev regime to wage a hybrid war against us, although not exactly a hybrid war.
🔸 The United States and all other Westerners, whom the Americans have brought to the heel thus stripping the EU of the remaining attributes of independence, are widely known as “grand democrats.” However, discussions about democratic approaches to international issues leave them impassive.
❗️ The US have discarded all their principles at the snap of a finger, principles like the inviolability of private property, presumption of innocence, good-faith competition, market mechanisms, etc., which they were cultivating and imposing on others for decades as part of the globalisation package.
🔸 The current talk about transitioning to national currencies is not accidental. Who knows what side of the bed the US president will wake up on tomorrow, or who he will see as “unsympathetic.”
🔸 There are many who want to scare us with China. In my opinion, this is a game based on wanting to prevent us from cooperating and coordinating our positions in the economy or international affairs. There is no doubt that the plans signed by Russia and the PRC meet the interests of both Moscow and Beijing.
☝️ What matters at this point is not the time but the essence, the quality of results we will ensure for our people and those who want to remain part of Russian culture – the Kiev junta, with the West’s encouragement, was depriving them of all things Russian for many years.

🎙 Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova’s answer to a media question on the February 3, 2023, EU-Ukraine Summit in Kiev
Read in full
❓ Question: What would be your comment on the EU-Ukraine Summit that took place in Kiev on February 3 and the joint statement that was issued following the event?
💬 The event that took place in Kiev on February 3 proved one more time that the European Union maintains its unreserved support for Kiev’s neo-Nazi regime for the sake of weakening Russia and pandering to the hegemonic aspirations of the United States and NATO.
<...>
The EU’s calls for peace are no less cynical, considering that at the same time they declare their readiness to invest in continued military action “for as long as it takes.” The EU has already allocated 12 billion euros from the pockets of its taxpayers. Providing more funding for the conflict and through new supplies of weapons and equipment, as well as expanding training camps and programmes for the Ukrainian Armed Forces will do nothing but increase the number of casualties in this conflict, including among civilians.
<...>
❗️ This proved yet again that leaders of the EU and its member states invested all their political, financial and military resources in taking a stand in Ukraine against the emergence of a multipolar world order, firmly supported by Russia and the majority in the international community.
However, it is in vain that the West is trying to do all this. The Russian leaders said on multiple occasions that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will achieve all the goals and objectives of the special military operation in Ukraine.

🎙🇷🇺🇨🇦 Comment by Russian Ambassador in Canada Oleg Stepanov to Sputnik News Agency (3 February, 2023):
💬 Russia has never imposed illegal unilateral sanctions against any country. I also want to draw attention to the fact that any so-called sanctions, restrictive measures, that are not approved by the UN Security Council are illegal in principle. Everyone knows this very well, but everyone in the West has long forgotten about international law.
We always act based on the principle of reciprocity - symmetrically, asymmetrically, but for every unfriendly action on the part of the current Canadian authorities, which we look at with regret, we will respond. If the unfriendly steps were not taken then there would be no need for a response.

🎙 Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s remarks at a meeting of the United Russia General Council’s Commission on International Cooperation and Support for Compatriots Abroad (Moscow, February 3, 2023)
💬 It is no secret that the consequences of colonialism and the misguided policy of its modern manifestations are among the main reasons for the deep development inequalities in the world.
There is no statute of limitations for the colonisers’ crimes, which forever deprives the Western elites of the right to moral leadership, especially considering that the coloniser instincts have not gone away.
☝️ Today, the “collective West,” which achieved its prosperity mostly after centuries of plunder and exploitation of developing countries, is trying to preserve its global domination so as to continue to deal with its development problems and to support its economy at the expense of other countries.
Those who refuse to follow Washington’s instructions and act independently are being restrained through unilateral sanctions, blackmail, threats, intimidation and often direct use of force. Those who pledge loyalty are given a free hand.
🇷🇺 Our county had worked for decades to assist the world’s nations in their struggle for liberation from the colonial yoke. oday we are at the forefront of international efforts to uphold the basic principles of the UN Charter, including the fundamental principle of respect for the sovereign equality of states.
it is logical that about three fourths of the world’s countries, which have kept their dignity and independence <...> have not joined the anti-Russia sanctions.
🌐 United Russia has proposed a promising initiative to hold an International forum of supporters of the fight against modern neocolonial practices in Moscow. It was supported by President Vladimir Putin. The Russian Foreign Ministry is ready to contribute in every possible way to the implementation of this initiative.

⚡️ Emergency statement by the Joint Coordination Headquarters of the Russian Federation on Humanitarian Response in Ukraine
◽️ According to the information, confirmed by several independent sources, Ukrainian intelligence services intend to implement a large-scale provocation to accuse the Russian Federation of committing alleged 'war crimes'.
◽️ With this purpose, the Kiev regime has planned a guided explosion at the buildings of the narcological and oncological clinics (Alekseya Tikhogo st., 31), as well as the 1st hospital (Alekseya Tikhogo st., 17) in Kramatorsk to accuse Russia of the allegedly 'intentional attacks' against civilian facilities.
◽️ Journalists of Western mass media, accompanied by officers of the Security Service of Ukraine, have already arrived in Kramatorsk, and are currently accommodated in the 'Sapfir' hotel (Vrachebnaya st., 35).
◽️ At the same time, the staff of the healthcare facilities have not been evacuated yet. All the employees remain in remote working mode until special instructions.
◽️ The explosion of the healthcare facilities in Kramatorsk will be presented by Western mass media as another 'atrocity', committed by Russian forces, that will require a response from the international community, and an acceleration in supplying Kiev with long-range missiles for launching strikes at the territory of Russia.
◽️ Amidst the military failures of Ukrainian army, the Kiev authorities are trying to use these provocations for intensifying the pressure on the Western countries' public opinion in order to reach the amplification in the range of modern armament and military hardware to be delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

🎙 Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov’s comment on the 20th anniversary of US Secretary of State Colin Powell’s speech on February 5, 2003 in the UN Security Council accusing Iraq of creating weapons of mass destruction, which became the pretext for the subsequent American invasion
💬 The image of Colin Powell showing a test tube, supposedly containing anthrax powder, has long become widely recognised as a personification of hypocrisy and the US ruling elite’s conviction in their own impunity, their indisputable right to arrogantly teach the rest of the world, using force against a deliberately weak adversary in order to preserve their own global hegemony.
Although, as a decent person, Colin Powell would not hide in the future the fact that he was forced to lie under orders. We even accept that he was tormented by a conscience that is not characteristic of the American political class, especially the leaders of the today’s generation.
In the rapidly changing geopolitical conditions, the United States is now clearly unable to resort to the use of force every time it wants to, without serious consequences. The ignominious flight from Afghanistan outlined the limits of America’s military capabilities, but did not drive away old habits and manners, aggressive and unbridled rhetoric, as evidenced by the American intervention in Ukraine as a party to the conflict.
However, the Americans will still have to change their views, getting rid of the entitlement syndrome, which was so clearly manifested in the scandal with the vial. They will also have to reckon with Russia and China, as well as other major international players that are shaping a more equitable multilateral world order.
☝️ One should not expect that the memory of what happened 20 years ago will be buried in the quicksands of modern history.

❗️US practice of making neutral countries join anti-Russia sanctions (Briefing by Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, Moscow, February 1, 2023)
We hear so much from the collective West that they are acting in “solidarity,” or it is the “shared opinion” or “unanimous.” We have repeatedly suggested that apparently, they do not understand what “solidarity” is. I have a new term for this. I would term what we are now seeing across the European Union and NATO “forced solidarity.” This is an oxymoron of course. Solidarity is something that comes from the soul, from the heart, from one's own analysis. It is about people of different views showing unity on an issue absolutely voluntarily and independently. What we see now is truly “forced solidarity.”
Driven by an obsessive urge to cause the worst possible harm to Russia, the United States is increasingly resorting to threats of secondary sanctions to coerce neutral states into cutting off ties with Russia. They call it “solidarity:” “This country is acting in solidarity with us.” Later it turns out that the country was subjected to a psychological attack that included threats of various methods of pressure such as freezing accounts, or arrests. Not many can endure such inhuman pressure. People, countries, leaders of states can break. And once they do, representatives of the United States announce that it is “solidarity.” They say, these people used to be embarrassed to disclose their support for anti-Russia sentiments, but now they have shown their true attitude, which is solidarity. No, this is not solidarity. This is blackmail and threats, which are used to break people, politicians, and thereby force them to accept a concept alien to them. Not all of our partners have been able to resist such flagrant blackmail.
As a specific example was the December 2022 incident where the Russian ship Ursa Major was denied berth in Bangladesh. The authorities withdrew their previously issued permission to enter the port of Mongla as required by the Americans. The incident delayed the delivery of a batch of equipment for the Rooppur NPP under construction by more than a month, which is hardly in the Bangladeshi side’s best interests.
We believe that US attempts to force third countries to join the anti-Russia sanctions are completely devoid of legitimacy and must be stopped.
