‘Corrupt’ MEP Forced to Stay in Jail

A Brussels court has ruled former deputy head of the European Parliament Eva Kaili must remain in custody as she faces charges of corruption. (RTBF)

Kaili's lawyers have demanded her release, and also called the conditions of her detention "unworthy." If they again appeal against the decision, changes to her detainment will be considered by the Court of Appeal within 15 days.

Kaili was arrested on December 9, 2022 accused of accepting bribes from Qatar in exchange for improving the country's image in Europe ahead of the World Cup. On December 13, she was fired. She denies guilt.

1. «Черноморская инициатива».

В настоящее время в рамках ее выполнения (по состоянию на 20 января с.г.) из портов Одессы, Черноморска и Южного вышли 668 судов с 18 224 860 тоннами продовольствия на борту. В номенклатуре грузов 46,1% занимает кормовая кукуруза, 5,9% шрот, 5,5% рапс и другие фуражные культуры, используемые для прокорма скота. Доля пшеницы составляет всего 27,57%, но именно на ней сделан акцент в ооновском бюллетене.

2. Аммиакопровод «Тольятти-Одесса».

Российская позиция на этот счет была неоднократно и подробно доведена до ооновцев – перевалка аммиака должна была начаться в рамках реализации «черноморской инициативы».

3. Меморандум Россия-ООН.

Нечего ооновцам предъявить (в отличие от «черноморской инициативы») и в качестве конкретных результатов выполнения данного соглашения. Под многочисленные декларации из Вашингтона, Брюсселя и Лондона о том, что односторонние санкции якобы не распространяются на продовольствие и удобрения, они просто заверяют в продолжении своих усилий по обеспечению соответствующих изъятий.

В самом конце информационной сводки ООН буквально одним абзацем упоминается второй подписанный в Стамбуле 22 июля 2022 г. документ о нормализации российского экспорта сельхозпродукции и удобрений. При этом умалчивается, что обе договоренности являются составными частями одного «пакета», предложенного А.Гутеррешем, и должны выполняться в увязке друг с другом.

⁉️ Если ограничений нет, тогда зачем в принципе нужны изъятия?

🏒 Hockey player from the Russian Federation was called a hero because of his refusal to participate in LGBT events

Fox News TV presenter Tucker Carlson called the hero of the Russian defender of the Philadelphia Flyers hockey club Ivan Provorov on air for refusing to support the LGBT movement with his participation in the action.

The game between Philadelphia and Anaheim took place on the night of January 18th. The Philadelphia players came out to the pre-match reel in rainbow sweaters with clubs, but Provorov refused to participate. Philadelphia's head coach John Tortorella said that the player explained his refusal due to religious beliefs.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.

◽️In Kupyansk direction, aviation and artillery of the Western Military District (WMD) have hit units of the 103rd Territorial Defence Brigade near Berestovoye (Kharkov region).

💥More than 35 Ukrainian servicemen, 1 armoured fighting vehicle and 2 motor vehicles have been destroyed. In addition, 1 AFU artillery munition warehouse has been destroyed near Olshana (Kharkov region).

◽️In Krasniy Liman direction, artillery fire from the Central Military District (CMD) has hit units of the 111th Territorial Defence Brigade near Torskoye and Terny (Donetsk People's Republic).

💥More than 20 Ukrainian servicemen, 1 infantry fighting vehicle, 1 D-20 howitzer, and 1 U.S.-manufactured AN/TPQ-37 counter-battery radar station have been destroyed.

◽️In Donetsk direction, volunteers of assault detachments, supported by Operational-Tactical and Army Aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Southern Military District, have liberated Dvurechye (Donetsk People's Republic).

💥The AFU suffered up to 50 servicemen killed and wounded, 2 armoured combat vehicles, 3 pickup trucks and 2 D-20 and D-30 howitzers.

💥In addition, 1 warehouse of the AFU artillery munition has been destroyed near Vodyanoye (Donetsk People's Republic), and 1 U.S.-manufactured AN/TPQ-37 counter-battery radar station has been destroyed near Malinovka.

◽️In Zaporozhye direction, as a result of the offensive actions, units of the Eastern Military District (EMD) have taken more advantageous lines and positions.

💥More than 30 fighters, 2 armoured fighting vehicles, 2 pickup trucks, 1 Akatsia self-propelled howitzer and 1 D-20 howitzer have been destroyed during the day.

💥Operational and Tactical Aviation, Missile Troops and artillery of groups of troops (forces) of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralised the command post of the 36th Separate Rifle Battalion of Territorial Defence near Kotlyarovka (Donetsk People's Republic), as well as 67 artillery units at firing positions, manpower and military equipment in 95 areas.

💥Fighter Aviation of Russian Aerospace Forces has shot down 1 Su-24 airplane of Ukrainian Air Force near Vladimirovka (Donetsk People's Republic).

💥1 Mi-8 helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force has been shot down by anti-aircraft defence forces near Lozovaya (Kharkov region).

💥Also during the day, 14 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have been destroyed near Kovalyovka, Kremennaya, Naugolnoye, Novovodyannoye, Ploshchanka, Nezhurino, Zmiyovka, Chervonopopovka (Lugansk People's Republic), and Novokazankovatoye (Zaporozhye region) and Blagodatnoye (Donetsk People's Republic).

💥In addition, 3 HIMARS and Uragan multiple-launch rocket systems, and 1 HARM anti-radar missile have been intercepted near Vasilyovka and Grozovoye (Zaporozhye region).

📊In total, 375 airplanes and 203 helicopters, 2,922 unmanned aerial vehicles, 401 air defence missile systems, 7,589 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 985 fighting vehicles equipped with MLRS, 3,883 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 8,128 special military motor vehicles have been destroyed during the special military operation.

💬 Заявление Высокого представителя ЕС по иностранным делам и политике безопасности Ж.Борреля относительно приведенного Министром иностранных дел Российской Федерации С.В.Лавровым в ходе пресс-конференции 18 января сравнения политики США и их союзников в отношении Москвы с действиями А.Гитлера звучит лицемерно, особенно на фоне расистских высказываний главы дипломатии ЕС, разделившего мир на «цветущий сад», в котором проживает «миллиард граждан ЕС и США», и наступающие на него «джунгли», а также открытой поддержки Евросоюзом киевского неонацистского режима. С 2014 г. вооруженные силы Украины и националистические батальоны безнаказанно обстреливают мирные города Донбасса, Херсонской и Запорожской областей России, убивают мирное население, в т.ч. детей. Let us recall the position of the Ljubljana officials regarding the invasion of the Coalition of the Willing in Iraq.

Prior to the intervention by the United States and its vassals, Slovenia had a pro-American stance accusing Saddam Hussein’s regime of posing a threat to the international community. In particular, in February 2003, Ljubljana, alongside other Eastern European countries, signed a declaration backing Washington’s position several hours after the famous test tube demonstration by Colin Powell in the UN Security Council. US Secretary of Defence Donald Rumsfeld claimed that Slovenia had joined the US coalition (which was later disputed by the official Ljubljana).

Following the bombing of Iraq, the Slovenian government issued an official statement expressing its regret over the start of hostilities. Prime Minister Anton Rop promised that Slovenian servicemen would not be taking part in the war.

At the same time, in 2006, these Slovenian military personnel took part in the so-called NATO Training Mission in Iraq. This decision did not resonate with the country’s population and later the military personnel were withdrawn. According to the Mission’s reports, Ljubljana also provided AK-47 rifles, helmets and funds.

In addition to that, Slovenian military personnel have been part of the US antiterrorist coalition in Syria and Iraq since 2016 (Operation Inherent Resolve against the Islamic State).

So, are we to understand that these are rightful changes in international law?
