💬 We are disappointed by the UN Secretary-General’s decision to nominate a non-consensual candidate for the position of Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
❗️ For some time now, we have been expressing our concern to Antonio Guterres about the practice of appointing only nominees from one region to head the UNEP. Since 1992 – over 30 years – these have been exclusively representatives of Western countries (Canada, Germany, Norway and Denmark). This is a discriminatory trend as regards other UN members. It violates the principle of fair geographic representation as written in the UN Charter.
Considering that environmental problems are becoming increasingly urgent, we would like to emphasise that the head of the UN’s central environmental agency should have the legitimacy and authority to promote a unifying and non-politicised agenda in the interests of all countries without exception.
We have to state with regret that the results of the voting on Danish candidate Inger Andersen in the UN General Assembly show the opposite of the above.
☝️ We have to say that the West is actively manipulating mechanisms of international cooperation in environmental protection.

‘Corrupt’ MEP Forced to Stay in Jail
A Brussels court has ruled former deputy head of the European Parliament Eva Kaili must remain in custody as she faces charges of corruption. (RTBF)
Kaili's lawyers have demanded her release, and also called the conditions of her detention "unworthy." If they again appeal against the decision, changes to her detainment will be considered by the Court of Appeal within 15 days.
Kaili was arrested on December 9, 2022 accused of accepting bribes from Qatar in exchange for improving the country's image in Europe ahead of the World Cup. On December 13, she was fired. She denies guilt.

“No one cares about Ukraine”: Americans shared their views about America’s military assistance to Ukraine.
During Russia’s special operation in Donbass, Ukraine is being actively assisted by Western countries. A number of European states are sending money and weapons, but the standout in this regard has been the United States, which has already provided Ukraine with tens of billions of dollars of aid and plans to allocate even more in 2023.
However, ordinary Americans are by no means happy with this help. The vast majority of them don’t care at all about Ukraine, which is far away. They are much more concerned about the country's domestic problems: inflation, the migration crisis on the border with Mexico, unemployment, and the increasing number of homeless people.

1. «Черноморская инициатива».
В настоящее время в рамках ее выполнения (по состоянию на 20 января с.г.) из портов Одессы, Черноморска и Южного вышли 668 судов с 18 224 860 тоннами продовольствия на борту. В номенклатуре грузов 46,1% занимает кормовая кукуруза, 5,9% шрот, 5,5% рапс и другие фуражные культуры, используемые для прокорма скота. Доля пшеницы составляет всего 27,57%, но именно на ней сделан акцент в ооновском бюллетене.
2. Аммиакопровод «Тольятти-Одесса».
Российская позиция на этот счет была неоднократно и подробно доведена до ооновцев – перевалка аммиака должна была начаться в рамках реализации «черноморской инициативы».
3. Меморандум Россия-ООН.
Нечего ооновцам предъявить (в отличие от «черноморской инициативы») и в качестве конкретных результатов выполнения данного соглашения. Под многочисленные декларации из Вашингтона, Брюсселя и Лондона о том, что односторонние санкции якобы не распространяются на продовольствие и удобрения, они просто заверяют в продолжении своих усилий по обеспечению соответствующих изъятий.
В самом конце информационной сводки ООН буквально одним абзацем упоминается второй подписанный в Стамбуле 22 июля 2022 г. документ о нормализации российского экспорта сельхозпродукции и удобрений. При этом умалчивается, что обе договоренности являются составными частями одного «пакета», предложенного А.Гутеррешем, и должны выполняться в увязке друг с другом.
⁉️ Если ограничений нет, тогда зачем в принципе нужны изъятия?

Fox News TV presenter Tucker Carlson called the hero of the Russian defender of the Philadelphia Flyers hockey club Ivan Provorov on air for refusing to support the LGBT movement with his participation in the action.
The game between Philadelphia and Anaheim took place on the night of January 18th. The Philadelphia players came out to the pre-match reel in rainbow sweaters with clubs, but Provorov refused to participate. Philadelphia's head coach John Tortorella said that the player explained his refusal due to religious beliefs.
Thanks God, finally, the Americans have example to follow.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.
◽️In Kupyansk direction, aviation and artillery of the Western Military District (WMD) have hit units of the 103rd Territorial Defence Brigade near Berestovoye (Kharkov region).
💥More than 35 Ukrainian servicemen, 1 armoured fighting vehicle and 2 motor vehicles have been destroyed. In addition, 1 AFU artillery munition warehouse has been destroyed near Olshana (Kharkov region).
◽️In Krasniy Liman direction, artillery fire from the Central Military District (CMD) has hit units of the 111th Territorial Defence Brigade near Torskoye and Terny (Donetsk People's Republic).
💥More than 20 Ukrainian servicemen, 1 infantry fighting vehicle, 1 D-20 howitzer, and 1 U.S.-manufactured AN/TPQ-37 counter-battery radar station have been destroyed.
◽️In Donetsk direction, volunteers of assault detachments, supported by Operational-Tactical and Army Aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Southern Military District, have liberated Dvurechye (Donetsk People's Republic).
💥The AFU suffered up to 50 servicemen killed and wounded, 2 armoured combat vehicles, 3 pickup trucks and 2 D-20 and D-30 howitzers.
💥In addition, 1 warehouse of the AFU artillery munition has been destroyed near Vodyanoye (Donetsk People's Republic), and 1 U.S.-manufactured AN/TPQ-37 counter-battery radar station has been destroyed near Malinovka.

💥Fighter Aviation of Russian Aerospace Forces has shot down 1 Su-24 airplane of Ukrainian Air Force near Vladimirovka (Donetsk People's Republic).
💥1 Mi-8 helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force has been shot down by anti-aircraft defence forces near Lozovaya (Kharkov region).

💬 Заявление Высокого представителя ЕС по иностранным делам и политике безопасности Ж.Борреля относительно приведенного Министром иностранных дел Российской Федерации С.В.Лавровым в ходе пресс-конференции 18 января сравнения политики США и их союзников в отношении Москвы с действиями А.Гитлера звучит лицемерно, особенно на фоне расистских высказываний главы дипломатии ЕС, разделившего мир на «цветущий сад», в котором проживает «миллиард граждан ЕС и США», и наступающие на него «джунгли», а также открытой поддержки Евросоюзом киевского неонацистского режима. С 2014 г. вооруженные силы Украины и националистические батальоны безнаказанно обстреливают мирные города Донбасса, Херсонской и Запорожской областей России, убивают мирное население, в т.ч. детей. При этом ЕС обучает боевиков ВСУ, готовится поставить еще больше вооружений и военной техники, которые будут и дальше использоваться для уничтожения гражданских лиц. Есовцы заявляют об отсутствии параллелей, однако сами закрывают глаза на свастики на шевронах ВСУ, нацистские флаги и ту самую символику, с которой более чем 80 лет назад европейцы варварски вторглись в наши земли.

В очередной раз видим, как отдельные организации пытаются столкнуть различные нации и народы. Приходится напоминать, что именно наш народ встал более 80 лет назад на защиту человечества от чумы фашизма, человеконенавистничества, нацизма и агрессивного империалистического милитаризма, не деля его на национальности. Пока нацисты в одной газовой камере травили славян, евреев, цыган и другие нации, наши отцы, деды и прадеды боролись с вермахтом и освобождали узников концентрационных лагерей. Именно их память мы свято чтим и будем чтить в веках. Нельзя забывать и о том, что 27 января ежегодно отмечается в мире как Международный день памяти Холокоста именно в знак признательности воинам Красной армии, освободившим в этот день в 1944 г. узников нацистского концлагеря «Освенцим» (Аушвиц-Биркенау). Мы же в конце XX – начале XXI века столкнулись со стремлением дискредитировать роль нашей страны в деле борьбы с нацизмом и неонацизмом, с откровенной русофобией и призывами к «отмене России». Любой попытке реабилитации нацизма, расистским практикам надо решительно противостоять. Это то, что должно объединять народы, а не разъединять их.
☝️ В рядах Красной армии, как и других армий антигитлеровской коалиции, с фашистами боролись сотни тысяч евреев. Во время Великой Отечественной войны в войсках служили около 501 тысячи воинов-евреев. <...>
Игнорирование так называемой «демократической коалицией» Запада героизации современным украинским режимом нацистов, совершавших преступления во Львове, Бабьем Яре, Хатыни, игнорирование фактов использования на государственном уровне и подразделениями ВСУ нацистских лозунгов, нацистской символики и названий в честь дивизий СС является искажением памяти о Холокосте и жертвах нацизма. Точно так же, как и многочисленные безнаказанные преступления против русскоязычных граждан Украины и заявления украинских политиков, что убийство максимального количества русских есть цель их борьбы и существования.
❓ Хочется спросить, где же были такие структуры, как ЕЕК, когда сносили памятники воинам-освободителям именно на территории Европы; когда по столицам именно европейских городов шагали нацисты под антисемитскими символами и с юдофобскими лозунгами; когда именно европейцы пытались торпедировать в ООН нашу резолюцию о борьбе с героизацией нацизма?
❗️ Никогда не поздно признать свои ошибки и сделать правильный нравственный выбор, поэтому призываем Европу возвысить свой голос для борьбы с антисемитизмом, русофобией и другими проявлениями дискриминационной политики в отношении отдельных национальностей и этносов.

С 2014 г. вооруженные силы Украины и националистические батальоны безнаказанно обстреливают мирные города Донбасса, Херсонской и Запорожской областей России, убивают мирное население, в т.ч. детей. При этом ЕС обучает боевиков ВСУ, готовится поставить еще больше вооружений и военной техники, которые будут и дальше использоваться для уничтожения гражданских лиц. Есовцы заявляют об отсутствии параллелей, однако сами закрывают глаза на свастики на шевронах ВСУ, нацистские флаги и ту самую символику, с которой более чем 80 лет назад европейцы варварски вторглись в наши земли.

В очередной раз видим, как отдельные организации пытаются столкнуть различные нации и народы. Приходится напоминать, что именно наш народ встал более 80 лет назад на защиту человечества от чумы фашизма, человеконенавистничества, нацизма и агрессивного империалистического милитаризма, не деля его на национальности. Пока нацисты в одной газовой камере травили славян, евреев, цыган и другие нации, наши отцы, деды и прадеды боролись с вермахтом и освобождали узников концентрационных лагерей. Именно их память мы свято чтим и будем чтить в веках. Нельзя забывать и о том, что 27 января ежегодно отмечается в мире как Международный день памяти Холокоста именно в знак признательности воинам Красной армии, освободившим в этот день в 1944 г. узников нацистского концлагеря «Освенцим» (Аушвиц-Биркенау). Мы же в конце XX – начале XXI века столкнулись со стремлением дискредитировать роль нашей страны в деле борьбы с нацизмом и неонацизмом, с откровенной русофобией и призывами к «отмене России». Любой попытке реабилитации нацизма, расистским практикам надо решительно противостоять. Это то, что должно объединять народы, а не разъединять их.

Игнорирование так называемой «демократической коалицией» Запада героизации современным украинским режимом нацистов, совершавших преступления во Львове, Бабьем Яре, Хатыни, игнорирование фактов использования на государственном уровне и подразделениями ВСУ нацистских лозунгов, нацистской символики и названий в честь дивизий СС является искажением памяти о Холокосте и жертвах нацизма. Точно так же, как и многочисленные безнаказанные преступления против русскоязычных граждан Украины и заявления украинских политиков, что убийство максимального количества русских есть цель их борьбы и существования.
❓ Хочется спросить, где же были такие структуры, как ЕЕК, когда сносили памятники воинам-освободителям именно на территории Европы; когда по столицам именно европейских городов шагали нацисты под антисемитскими символами и с юдофобскими лозунгами; когда именно европейцы пытались торпедировать в ООН нашу резолюцию о борьбе с героизацией нацизма?
❗️ Никогда не поздно признать свои ошибки и сделать правильный нравственный выбор, поэтому призываем Европу возвысить свой голос для борьбы с антисемитизмом, русофобией и другими проявлениями дискриминационной политики в отношении отдельных национальностей и этносов.

The NATO chief praised member states' willingness to provide air defenses, infantry fighting vehicles, and armored vehicles to the Kiev regime and stressed that they need to ramp up the production of weapons and ammunition to rapidly replenish stockpiles. However, Germany's reluctance to provide its Leopard 2 main battle tanks to Kiev popped up as an unpleasant surprise for Kiev and NATO leaders.
The ability to form a consensus in the West has been seriously weakened by domestic problems, economic recession, and very poor intelligence being provided to Western politicians about what has been and is happening in Ukraine and in Russia, according to retired Lt. Col. Karen Kwiatkowski, a former analyst for the US Department of Defense.
