▫️That victory was achieved through the courage and heroism of the Soviet people and the soldiers of the Red Army.
▫️The USSR carried out a historic liberation mission in Europe and Asia and made a crucial contribution to the salvation of the humanity.
▫️Countering the spread of Nazism, stated as one of the objectives of the special military operation started in 2022, echoes the tasks faced by the Soviet Union during the Great Patriotic War.
▫️Just as it did 80 years ago, Russia sees itself as a defender seeking to stop the spread of dangerous hate ideas and to restore peace in the lands it considers its own by the right of history and blood.

On May 11, in Le Meridien Dhaka hotel the Embassy of Russia in Bangladesh organized a reception on the occasion of #VictoryDay.
This year celebrations carry special significance since they mark the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the USSR in the Great Patriotic War on #May9, 1945.
H.E. Mr Alexander Khozin, Ambassador of Russia to Bangladesh, and Mr Sattar Mia, Head of the National Group company and President of the Russian Friendship Society with Bangladesh, addressed the audience with welcoming words. Ambassador highlighted the decisive role of the USSR in defeating Nazi Germany.
"Any attempts to distort the historical truth, to whitewash Nazi criminals and their accomplices, to diminish the role of the Soviet people in the victorious end of the war are blasphemous and must be stopped", he stressed.
The cultural part of the program consisted of the performance by the Russian folk ensemble "Obraz".
The guests could also enjoy the exhibition "Way to Victory" with archive photos.

🔹 The world keeps changing, and not always for the better. We have witnessed the rapid degradation of many supranational legal structures, which have fallen victim to their dependence on the will, funding and values of the so-called collective West. This is true, for instance, for the International Criminal Court (the Hague Criminal Court).
🔹 As of February 2025, 125 states are parties to the Rome Statute (in the UN there are 193 members). Despite their number, the ICC does not represent the international community of states as a whole and does not act in its name. Three out of five permanent members of the UN Security Council are not parties to it (Russia, China and the USA), along with industrialised and densely populated Asian countries (India, Pakistan, Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia), many Arab countries.
🔹 It is no coincidence that former Chair of the African Union Commission Jean Ping told journalists that the Court is a toy of declining imperial powers. Opinions spread that apparently the ICC was only interested in prosecuting Africans who confronted the Western influence, and used Africa as a laboratory for testing international criminal justice.
🔹 Yet it was in terms of the arrest warrants issued for heads of sovereign states that the ICC reached the pinnacle of nonsense and disutility, including Russia’s President Vladimir Putin in respect of the situation in Ukraine. Passing such decisions the ICC officials were well aware of the fact that they would never bring any practical result, saving propaganda consequences obviously in the interests of the same Anglo-Saxon world.
🔹 Unfortunately, at this point we need to recognise [ICC’s] total inefficiency in performing its main task – bringing to liability all those guilty of genocide, aggression, war crimes, those who escaped punishment under national law. All of them, including citizens of Western countries and NATO member states. Of course, it is doubtful that the Hague Criminal Court in its present form and role will make efforts to this end. That is why it shall sink into oblivion.
🔹It seems entirely possible to develop on the regional level (for instance, in the framework of BRICS) a concept of establishing an international legal body as an alternative to the Hague Criminal Court. This new judicial body in BRICS could reiterate the common commitment of its member states to the UN Charter principles, including the principles of immunity of heads of sovereign states from any foreign jurisdiction and non-interference into internal affairs of the states, including by way of unlawful foreign instructing of opposition leaders.

Полумарафон One Run впервые прошел в Бангладеш
24 мая международный полумарафон One Run (в России - "Забег.РФ") прошел в Дакке, объединив около тысячи любителей бега, в том числе сотрудников Посольства России в Бангладеш, представительства Россотрудничества и стройплощадки АЭС "Руппур".
Маршруты забега были проложены вокруг озера Хатирджил и составили 21,1 км, 10 км, 5 км и 1 км. Все участники получили памятные медали, а победители в каждой дистанции – уникальные награды и подарки от спонсоров.
На церемонии награждения Посол России в Бангладеш А.Г.Хозин поздравил Бангладеш с успешным присоединением к проекту One Run и пожелал участникам дальнейших спортивных достижений.
Организаторами забега выступили российская спортивная команда "Лига героев" и бангладешская компания GamePlay.

🗓 29 мая решением глав государств-членов Евразийского экономического союза ежегодно отмечается #ДеньЕАЭС.
1 января исполнилось 1️⃣0️⃣ лет с даты вступления в силу Договора о ЕАЭС (подписан 29 мая 2014 года) и начала фактического функционирования Союза как регионального интеграционного объединения.
За это время ЕАЭС зарекомендовал себя как эффективный интеграционный проект, в основе которого — равноправие и учёт интересов каждого участника. Объединение утвердилось в качестве одного из самостоятельных и самодостаточных центров формирующегося многополярного мира.
Страны «пятёрки» #ЕАЭС — Армения, Белоруссия, Казахстан, Киргизия и Россия — добились значительных результатов: на пространстве Союза функционирует и совершенствуется внутренний рынок, устойчивый рост демонстрирует взаимная торговля, укрепляется кооперация в таких сферах, как транспорт, логистика, промышленность, сельское хозяйство, обеспечение энергетической и продовольственной безопасности.
📈 Экономические показатели говорят сами за себя: по имеющимся оценкам, совокупный ВВП государств-членов ЕАЭС за 10 лет функционирования Союза увеличился с 1,6 до 2,5 триллиона долларов.
Рост валового внутреннего продукта (в целом по Объединению) в 2024 году составил плюс 4,4% — это существенно выше среднемировых темпов, оцениваемых в 3,3%. Товарооборот с третьими странами вырос на 60%. По итогам прошлого года доля национальных валют во взаиморасчётах стран «пятёрки» в рамках внутрирегиональной торговли достигла 90%.
Евразийский экономический союз является важным игроком международных экономических отношений с широкой сетью зарубежных связей. В настоящее время действуют соглашения о свободной торговле ЕАЭС с Вьетнамом 🇻🇳, Ираном 🇮🇷 и Сербией 🇷🇸, а также два непреференциальных соглашения с Китаем 🇨🇳. Реализуется план сопряжения Союза с китайской инициативой «Одни пояс — один путь».
Активно осуществляется взаимодействие с государствами-наблюдателями ЕАЭС — Узбекистаном 🇺🇿, Кубой 🇨🇺 и Ираном 🇮🇷. На финальной стадии находится работа по заключению торговых соглашений с Индонезией 🇮🇩, ОАЭ 🇦🇪 и Монголией 🇲🇳.
