⚡️ In accordance with the agreement between President Vladimir Putin and President Donald Trump to step up contacts to discuss international issues and bilateral agenda, on February 18, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov held talks in Riyadh with a US delegation represented by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, National Security Adviser Michael Waltz, and US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff.
The participants discussed a broad range of issues, including prospects for normalising bilateral relations. The sides agreed to appoint respective ambassadors as soon as possible, and to start consultations at the level of deputy foreign ministers to remove restrictions on activities of the diplomatic missions of the two countries.
The Sides agreed to establish a dialogue to identify ways to resume cooperation in the economy, including energy, outer space exploration, and other areas of mutual interest.
The Sides exchanged views on the situation surrounding Ukraine and reiterated their mutual commitment to settle the conflict.
❗️ The Russian side emphasised the importance of eliminating the root causes of the conflict, creating proper conditions for achieving a lasting and enduring peace, and ensuring security and legitimate interests of all countries in the region. An agreement was reached to continue joint work in this area through special envoys to be appointed in the near future.
The Sides agreed to resume communication channels to discuss other international issues, being mindful of Russia and the United States’ special responsibility in matters of peace and security as nuclear powers and permanent members of the UN Security Council. The interest in continuing joint work to prepare the meeting between the Russian and American presidents was confirmed.
During their stay in Riyadh, Sergey Lavrov and Yury Ushakov were received by Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud. They expressed gratitude for the excellent organisation of #RussiaUS talks. The participants discussed matters related to implementing the agreements on comprehensive expansion of bilateral relations reached by President Vladimir Putin and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

⚡️ В соответствии с договорённостью президентов России В.В.Путина и США Д.Трампа об интенсификации контактов по международной проблематике и двусторонней повестке Министр иностранных дел Российской Федерации С.В.Лавров и Помощник Президента Российской Федерации Ю.В.Ушаков провели 18 февраля в Эр-Рияде переговоры с делегацией США в составе Государственного секретаря М.Рубио, Помощника Президента по национальной безопасности М.Уолтца и Специального посланника Президента по Ближнему Востоку С.Уиткоффа.
Обсуждался широкий круг вопросов, включая перспективы нормализации двусторонних отношений. Стороны условились о скорейшем назначении послов и начале консультаций на уровне заместителей глав внешнеполитических ведомств по устранению ограничений на деятельность диппредставительств двух стран.
Достигнуты договорённости о налаживании диалога по согласованию путей возобновления сотрудничества в экономике, включая энергетику, космос и другие сферы, представляющие взаимный интерес.
Состоялся обмен мнениями по ситуации вокруг Украины. Подтверждён обоюдный настрой на урегулирование конфликта.
❗️ С российской стороны подчёркнута необходимость устранения его первопричин, создания условий для прочного и долгосрочного мира, обеспечения безопасности и законных интересов всех стран региона. Достигнута договорённость продолжить совместную работу на этом направлении по линии спецпредставителей, которые будут определены в ближайшее время.

🗓️ Сегодня отмечается Международный день родного языка для защиты лингвистического и культурного многообразия
📜 Утвержден ЮНЕСКО в 1999 г. по предложению Бангладеш. Дата выбрана не случайно. 21 февраля 1952 года состоялась масштабная демонстрация студентов Даккского университета – апогей движения за предоставление бенгальскому языку статуса государственного в Пакистане. Поэтому 21 февраля в Бангладеш – это в первую очередь День мучеников – день памяти студентов, погибших в ходе протестов в этот день 73 года назад.
🎊 Традиционно Посольство приняло участие в памятных мероприятиях:
🔹Посол А.Г.Хозин возложил венок к памятнику Шахид-Минар
🔹Учащиеся школы при Посольстве исполнили русские народные танцы и песни в Дипломатической академии
🔹Ученик 4-го класса Назар в составе группы детей дипломатов, работающих в Дакке, был приглашен на встречу с главой консультативного совета Бангладеш Мохаммедом Юнусом
🔹Школьники ответили на вопросы международной викторины «Родная речь моя, я так горжусь тобой»

Мероприятие посетили руководители военных ведомств и правоохранительных органов Бангладеш, военные атташе дружественных государств, сотрудники представительств российских компаний, расположенных в Дакке. Главным гостем стал начальник Генерального штаба генерал-лейтенант Мизанур Рахман Шамим.

рубежом гражданин России нотариально удостоверить доверенность в российском консульстве по внутреннему паспорту в случае, если его заграничный паспорт
истек.
🙌🏻 Разъясняем, что действующее российское законодательство не содержит каких-либо ограничений на возможность представления гражданином Российской Федерации действующего российского внутреннего паспорта консульскому должностному лицу в целях
совершения нотариальных действий (в том числе удостоверения доверенности).
🔃 Аналогичным образом личность заявителя может быть установлена консулом на основании российского загранпаспорта в случае, если его внутренний паспорт является недействительным.
📄 Полный перечень документов, удостоверяющих личность, которые могут быть представлены консулу в целях совершения нотариального действия, установлен пунктом 14 Инструкции о порядке совершения нотариальных действий консульскими должностными лицами.

⚡️ Foreign Ministry Statement regarding French President Emmanuel Macron’s speech
💬 In the run-up to the EU summit dedicated to Ukraine crisis and confrontation with Russia, and clearly trying to set the tone for the upcoming gathering, French President Macron made an extremely aggressive anti-Russia speech calling our country, as he did on multiple previous occasions, a “threat to France and Europe.” Without providing any evidence, as he usually does, he accused our country of all the deadly sins from cyber attacks and interference in elections to our alleged plans to attack other countries in Europe.
We have heard him come up with similar fabrications and provocative claims before as well. Perhaps, this was the first time he laid them out in such an intense and irreconcilable manner which made them sound like a catechism for the Russophobic action programme.
Notably, the French leader has repeatedly made public his plans to call President Putin on the telephone to discuss ways to achieve peaceful settlement in Ukraine and to ensure security in Europe. The Russian side has always been open to discuss these matters. However, Macron, this time again, confined himself to clamorous public rhetoric.
The French President is trying hard to convince the French citizens of an “existential threat” coming from Russia. In fact, Russia has never threatened France, but, instead, helped it defend its independence and sovereignty in two world wars. However, Macron’s statements, in fact, pose a threat to Russia.
The French leader evokes his country’s foreign policy traditions, but his rhetoric runs counter to them and the ideological legacy of Gaullism. He cannot be unaware of the fact that France’s high standing in the international arena has for decades relied on his predecessors’ push to play a balancing role in international affairs and to contribute to alleviating tensions between Russia and the West.
Back in the day, de Gaulle put forward the concept of indivisible security from the Atlantic to the Urals which relied on building consensus and being mindful of the opinions and interests of all countries on our continent. As opposed to that, we are witnessing official Paris depart from these fundamental principles of French foreign policy.
President Macron’s speech is all about providing security guarantees for Ukraine. Not a word, however, was said about security guarantees for Russia.
Notably, the lack of such guarantees and the West’s never-ending attempts to create threats to our country, primarily through unbridled expansion of NATO, which ran counter to promises that were made to us, as well as the push to turn Ukraine into an anti-Russian bridgehead, has led to the current crisis. We have repeatedly and over many years notified Western leaders, including Mr Macron, about it.
This is yet another instance that reiterates our conviction that Paris remains unwilling to reckon with our country’s vital interests and is focused on “forcing” us into compliance with the decisions that suit the West. Rest assured that this will never happen.

The Leaders continued their detailed and frank exchange of views on the situation surrounding Ukraine. Vladimir Putin extended gratitude to Donald Trump for his striving to achieve the noble goal of ending the hostilities and loss of life.
Confirming his fundamental commitment to finding a peaceful resolution to the conflict, the President of Russia expressed willingness to thoroughly work out possible solutions in cooperation with the American partners, aimed at reaching a settlement that would be comprehensive, reliable, and lasting, and, naturally, take into account the essential need to eliminate the root causes of the crisis, as well as Russia's legitimate security interests.
Concerning US President's proposal to declare a 30-day ceasefire, the Russian Side outlined a number of significant points regarding ensuring effective control over a possible ceasefire along the entire frontline, as well as the need to stop the forced mobilisation in Ukraine and rearming the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
