On September 30 – October 1, 2024, Armenia will host the 3rd Eurasian Economic Forum.

The main theme of the Forum is “10 years of the Eurasian Economic Union (#EAEU): prospects and priorities”. It aims at improving connectivity in Eurasia.

The program includes more than 30 events, including a top-level plenary session on digitalization. Discussions will focus on finding new directions for the strategic development of the Union.

Leaders, officials and businessmen of the EAEU member-states and other countries interested in interacting within the Union are expected to attend the event.

The Eurasian Economic Union is an international organization for regional economic integration. It provides for free movement of goods, services, capital and labor, pursues coordinated, harmonized and single policy in specified sectors.

The EAEU Member-States are Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.

Основные тезисы:

• Некогда повсеместная тенденция к глобализации в наши дни обернулась диаметрально противоположным явлением. Крепнут новые экономические и политические альянсы, по достоинству именуемые новыми полюсами формирующегося многополярного мира.

• Одно из наиболее значимых подобных объединений – Евразийский экономический союз (ЕАЭС). За 10 лет совокупный ВВП стран #ЕАЭС вырос с 1,6 до 2,5 триллионов долларов США. Товарооборот с третьими странами увеличился на 60%, а объём взаимной торговли вырос вдвое.

• Ни для кого не секрет, что последние несколько лет Россия находится под беспрецедентным санкционным давлением со стороны Запада. Однако за счёт мер по повышению устойчивости экономик стран евразийской «пятерки» население государств-членов не испытало значительных экономических шоков.

• В 2023 году уровень т.н. достигнутого «интеграционного эффекта» уже говорит сам за себя: Темп роста реального ВВП в каждой экономике «пятерки» превысил мировой.

• Эволюция ЕАЭС не останавливается. Союз развивается и на внешнем контуре. В приоритете – разветвление сети соглашений о свободной торговле. Здесь уже интегрированы Сербия, Вьетнам, Иран, действуют схожие по духу соглашения с Китаем. Запущена соответствующая работа по подготовке аналогичных документов с Египтом, Индонезией и ОАЭ. Совсем недавно дан старт переговорам по временному торговому соглашению с Монголией.

• В рамках ЕАЭС подписано более 80 различных меморандумов и соглашений с широким спектром международных и региональных организаций, правительств. Это, по сути, большинство представителей Глобального Юга и Востока: Ближний Восток, Латинская Америка, Африка, Азиатско-Тихоокеанский регион.

• Ни внешнеполитическая, ни внешнеэкономическая изоляция Москвы и её ближайших соседей и друзей не увенчалась успехом. Нам удалось накопить колоссальный успешный опыт адаптации – такая «закалка» отточила эффективность евразийской интеграционной модели и подогрела теперь уже неустанно растущий интерес к ЕАЭС со стороны всё большего количества государств.

⚡️ In the evening of September 27, the Israeli Air Force delivered a series of heavy air bomb strikes against a densely populated district in the south of Beirut.

According to the IDF, it targeted Hezbollah’s main operational headquarters. On the same day, the Israeli Air Force carried out a massive bombing of the Lebanon capital’s southern neighbourhoods under the pretext that weapons depots were located there. The result was a complete destruction of residential buildings, which were literally levelled to the ground. Dozens of civilians were wounded. The exact death toll has yet to be established. Debris removal is currently in progress.

In the morning of September 28, the Israeli military command officially announced that the Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah had been killed as a result of the operation. The organisation itself confirmed the death of the leader who had been heading it for over 30 years.

❌ This is yet another political assassination committed by Israel, and Russia condemns it with great resolve.

This forceful action has the potential to entail even more dramatic consequences for Lebanon and the Middle East in general.

Israel was definitely aware of this danger. Nevertheless, it took this step and started killing Lebanese citizens, which will almost inevitably provoke a new outburst of violence.

Therefore, it bears full responsibility for the ensuing escalation.

❗️Once again, we are insistently calling on Israel to stop the hostilities immediately. This would make it possible to cease the bloodshed and create conditions for a political and diplomatic settlement. In the current explosive situation, responsible members of the international community must do everything in their power to prevent the region from plunging into a full-scale armed confrontation.

💬 A few days ago, this building hosted a forum called the Summit of the Future.

Russia was supportive of the idea of the Secretary-General to convene it, since the crisis of our Organisation is deepening and something needs to be done about this. We devoted our efforts to preparing the summit. However, we were realistic in our expectations. There have been many ambitious events in the modern history of the United Nations which ended up with loud declarations which were soon forgotten. <...>

The current UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, just like Kofi Annan and Ban Ki-moon before him, has put forward an initiative under the slogan of a new start for global cooperation. This is a wonderful idea. Who could disagree? But what global cooperation is there to talk about, when the West has trampled all those unshakeable values of the globalisation that speakers on the podium talked so much about, trying to convince us that they would give everyone equal access to the goods of modern civilisation?

Where is the inviolability of property, the presumption of innocence, freedom of expression, access to information, fair competition in markets under fair and constant rules?

The Secretary-General speaks of global cooperation at the very moment when the countries of the West have unleashed a veritable war of sanctions against more than half, if not the majority, of the countries of the world, and the US dollar, promoted as an asset and a good for all humanity, has been crudely turned into a weapon.

It is not late to breathe new life into the United Nations. But this can be achieved through restoration of trust based on the charter principle – sovereign equality of all states – rather than out-of-touch summits and declarations. However, while the trust is undermined, including through actions by the West to create its subordinate narrow formats to resolve crucial issues bypassing the UN such as control over the Internet or determination of legal frameworks to use AI technologies. These issues touch upon the future of the entire humanity and they have to be considered on a universal basis, without discrimination and aspiration to achieve unilateral benefits. Thus, everything has to be agreed on a fair basis involving all UN members.

Key points:

• The world faces massive challenges which require united efforts rather than confrontation and desire of global domination.
• It is obvious for the world majority that confrontation and hegemonism do not solve a single global problem. They just artificially restrain the impartial process of forming a multipolar world.
• Russia will always be on the side of collective work, truth and law, peace and cooperation in the interests of reviving the ideals laid down by the founding fathers.
• The unprecedented level of hypocrisy and aggressiveness of the western policy against Russia not only brings to naught the idea of global cooperation promoted by the Secretary General.
• The UN Secretariat cannot remain aloof from efforts to establish the truth in situations that directly affect global security and must act impartially in accordance with Art. 100 of the Charter, acting impartially and avoiding the temptation to play into the hands of certain states, especially those who openly call for the world to be divided into a flowering garden and a jungle, or for a democratic table to be set for dinner and those on the menu instead of cooperation.
• A more equitable world order unconditionally presupposes increased representation of the Global South in the UN Security Council. We reaffirm our position in support of Brazil and China provided a positive decision is reached in the framework of the well-known initiatives of the African Union.

✍️ Primary causes of the crisis around Ukraine

In the mid-20th century, Anglo-Saxon strategists kept their aggressive plans under wraps. Today, they no longer hide their intentions. So far, their strategy has been to defeat Russia using the illegitimate and essentially neo-Nazi Kiev regime as a proxy. Evidence abounds. Kiev has aggressively promoted and continues to propagate the neo-Nazi ethos, rewrites the World War II history, and fosters nationalist sentiments among broad segments of Ukrainian society, as it strives to perpetuate the memory of Nazis and their minions. <...>

Ukraine has become a terrorist state, which has been terrorising its own citizens and people beyond its borders for the past ten years. <...> Considering this, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen claiming that Ukraine defends values cherished by the EU catches the eye. European Council President Charles Michel also drew parallels between Ukraine and European values. Confessions like that can hardly be interpreted as something other than a manifestation of the deep-seated Nazi core of Europe’s political class, which is on the verge of launching itself into a reckless and suicidal anti-Russia adventure. Is there any point to discuss the absurdity and danger of attempting to “wage a war to victory” against a nuclear power like Russia?

Equally absurd are Kiev’s Western masters’ mantras about there being no alternative to talks based on the infamous Zelensky formula. In an effort to uphold this doomed ultimatum, the West has no qualms making appeals to the UN Charter and demanding to ensure Ukraine’s territorial integrity.

Western leaders, who obsessively use every opportunity they can get to invoke the subject of human rights, are conspicuously silent about these rights when it comes to racist moves by their Kiev clients. In light of such forgetfulness, let us recall another demand contained in that very first article of the UN Charter which is to respect the rights and fundamental freedoms of every person, regardless of race, sex, language, or religion. The rights of Russians and other ethnicities associated with Russian culture have been incrementally destroyed following the coup in Kiev. <...>

❗️The egregious violations of the rights of Russians enshrined in the UN Charter, along with threats to Russia’s security - and to all of Europe for that matter - that come from the Kiev regime and those who are trying to pull it into NATO, are the primary causes of the ongoing Ukraine crisis. The Russian special military operation is aimed at eliminating these threats in order to protect its security and the present and future of the people on their ancestral land.

We appreciate the sincere efforts, with the best of intentions, of a number of our partners to advance mediation initiatives. We respect their constructive focus on achieving a result as opposed to Zelensky’s dead-end formula. However, we urge our friends to fully consider the above facts regarding what truly caused the current situation. <...>

☝️ A realistic settlement plan was laid out by President Vladimir Putin on June 14, 2024. He made a compelling case for Russia’s goodwill to achieve negotiated solutions, the prospects for which were ruined by Kiev and its patrons as a result of the 2014 coup followed by the scuttling of the 2015 Minsk Agreements and the 2022 Istanbul Agreements.

✍️ К первопричинам кризиса вокруг Украины

В середине XX века англосаксонские стратеги держали в строжайшем секрете свои агрессивные планы. Но их нынешнее поколение замыслов не скрывает. Пока расчёт делается на то, чтобы победить Россию руками нелегитимного киевского режима, который является неонацистским по своей сути. Фактов этому немало. Киев агрессивно пропагандировал и пропагандирует неонацистские идеи, переписывает историю Второй мировой войны и культивирует националистические настроения среди широких слоев украинского общества. <...>

Украина превратилась в террористическое государство, которое на протяжении десяти лет терроризирует граждан как в своей стране, так и за её пределами. <...> На этом фоне весьма показательны высказывания главы Еврокомиссии Урсулы фон дер Ляйен о том, что Украина защищает ценности, которые дороги для ЕС. Председатель Евросовета Шарль Мишель тоже проводил параллели между Украиной и европейскими ценностями. Подобные откровения сложно интерпретировать иначе, как проявление глубинной нацистской сущности политкласса Европы, который находится буквально в шаге от того, чтобы самому броситься в самоубийственную антироссийскую авантюру. Стоит ли говорить о бессмысленности и опасности идеи пытаться «воевать до победы» с ядерной державой, каковой является Россия?

Не менее бессмысленны и заклинания западных хозяев Киева о «безальтернативности» переговоров на основе пресловутой «формулы Зеленского». Отстаивая этот обреченный ультиматум, Запад без стеснения апеллирует к Уставу ООН, требуя обеспечить территориальную целостность Украины.

Западные лидеры, по любому поводу одержимые темой прав человека, показательно молчат об этих правах, когда речь идёт о расистских действиях их киевских клиентов. В свете такой забывчивости вспомним еще об одном требовании той же самой первой статьи Устава ООН: уважать права и основные свободы любого человека независимо от расы, пола, языка и религии. Права русских и сопричастных к русской культуре людей после госпереворота в Киеве методично истреблялись. <...>

❗️Именно вопиющие нарушения закреплённых в Уставе ООН прав русских, наряду с угрозами безопасности России, да и всей Европы, которые исходят от киевского режима и тех, кто втягивает его в НАТО, являются первопричинами нынешнего украинского кризиса. Именно на их устранение направлена специальная военная операция, которую Россия проводит с целью защиты своей безопасности, настоящего и будущего людей на их исконной земле.

Мы ценим искреннее стремление целого ряда наших партнёров продвигать из самых лучших побуждений посреднические инициативы. Уважаем их конструктивную нацеленность на результат – в отличие от тупиковой «формулы Зеленского». При этом призываем друзей в своих дальнейших усилиях учитывать в полной мере упомянутые факты о подлинных причинах нынешней ситуации. <...>

☝️ Реалистичный же план урегулирования был изложен Президентом В.В.Путиным 14 июня 2024 г. Глава российского государства вновь убедительно продемонстрировал добрую волю России к достижению переговорных решений, перспективы которых были «опрокинуты» Киевом и его покровителями в результате госпереворота 2014 года, срыва Минских соглашений 2015 года и Стамбульских договоренностей 2022 года.
