We've missed a big event in the past year. Pathfinder second edition is released!
https://paizo.com/pathfinder
Of course, it's already in the trove:
https://thetrove.net/Books/Pathfinder/2nd%20Edition/Core/
The second edition has a lot of changes and is much better:
+ The over-complicated turn system with 6+ different kinds of actions turned into a simple "you have 3 actions, good luck". And it's great!
+ Character generation is much more rich. Background, your family history, and a lot more small details now affect your traits.
+ No half-orc and half-elves in base races. However, we have goblins instead.
+ Hero-points as an addition to experience. Can be used to re-throw dices.
+ Alchemist class.
+ Archetypes as empowered way to multiclass. I've heard they were before in advanced guides, now it's part of core rulebook.
+ Also, the world descriptions is a part of the core rulebook.
Of course, nothing is perfect and there are a few tradeoffs. Now the character sheet template takes 4 pages instead of 2. Most of the fields are calculated from other fields. It makes me think that Pathfinder is moving from old school paper and pencil to online editors. Although I prefer the old good the offline approach, pre-generating character sheet online and then printing works for me.
Fun fact: races were renamed into "ancestors". Most probably, it's something about racism. Common!
BTW, I'm not really in Pathfinder races. Putting all humans into one race sounds like "there is the most boring choice, just don't touch it". So, I'm thinking about adopting human races from TES: bretons, nords, redgards, imperials. Or even all the races, why not.
Another renaming is paladin turned into "champion" by some reason. Probably, because paladin is the most boring class. However, I don't think renaming can help.
