BEARING WITNESS TO THE LIGHT
I just heard this, from my husband, about the night we visited with my family and I had asked you all for prayer. Let it be an encouragement to each of you as you stand bearing witness, when you maybe don't think you've said or done 'enough' :
My husband had a private conversation with a family member and they said to him,"Roxanne looks better than she ever has!"
I hear this and instantly my mind wants to knock it down -- Yet I keep listening as the ONLY way that can be anywhere close to true -- is the Holy Spirit.
They said, "**She's glowing! What happened?**"
My husband went on to tell the story of my encounter with Jesus and how I've changed and how we, as a family got baptized together last year.
(*I was first baptized at 15, then left religion soon after. My husband was 'sprinkled' as a baby and it was my son's first*).
This one conversation was both a witness to the glory of God and an opportunity for my husband to share His testimony. They went on to talk about prayer and finding a good church where they live, how important faith is in these days and more.
This GLOW, also was present on me when the Holy Spirit gave me gifts. Key point: I didn't SEE it, but others did!
They would say things like, "What's different about you?" and people would stare or even turn their heads in their car as they drove by - staring in at me. Moths started flying at my face and butterflies landed on me and so much more.
I share this to encourage you that while you may or may not SEE a change or the 'Light' on yourself, it IS visible to those the Holy Spirit is convicting and who are searching for the Light!!
Arise and SHINE brothers and sisters - for your LIGHT HAS COME and the GLORY of the LORD has RISEN upon you!!!
