Still the best American power panel anywhere on Prighozin and the state of the war.

But that's the thing: AMERICAN. I am in Moscow for 10 days now - and the discussion here is on a whole different level. Way more sophisticated and nuanced.

Everyone agrees that the Prighozin "solution" was the best to anyone - including the Russian state. The investigation is proceeding, serious as hell, but the way the result will be presented will be strictly political.

The Wagner chapter is over.

On our distinguished American friends, arguably the best nugget is that Pentagon Generals are being briefed that Ukraine will be Russia's Vietnam. That's Stupidistan at its finest. Fitting a slimy profiteer such as "Never Won a Surge" Petraeus.
🌒 Brzezinski had identified Ukraine as Russia’s potential Achilles’ Heel, precisely Ukraine’s ethnic-cultural divisions that could be exploited to weaken Russia. This point is crucial for determining the impulse behind the Ukraine war today.

The Ukraine war is not about ‘democracy promotion’. Western intelligence services have had a history of close links with Ukrainian ultra-nationalism, dating from the end of WW2. Possibly, these committed ultra-nationalists were seen as ideal material for stirring a war against everything Russian – that which Brzezinski had in mind when the wrote his Grand Chessboard in 1997.

In any event, it was on this particular pillar – ethnic-cultural mobilisation vs the Russian presence, culture and language in Ukraine – that western intelligence services focussed.

Can a West of shared, cultural like-mindedness ‘imagine itself’ into total cultural war against the values of Russia? 🪆

🦅 U.S. President Joe Biden was last week making desperate appeals for more funds to fuel the futile, heinous war in Ukraine. By contrast, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin delivered a keynote speech calling for a world based on equality and peace.

Comparing the substance of the two is instructive. Biden rambles with scripted scraps of ideological stereotypes and belligerence that increasingly sound ho-hum nonsense. By contrast, Putin gave an intellectually passionate and eloquent survey of world history to an audience of international scholars and serious thinkers. Putin summed up his speech with a sincere appeal for peace and goodwill to all humanity.

One cannot contemplate Biden or any other Western so-called leader having the intellectual capability or moral fibre to articulate a comparable speech promoting world peace and progress.

🇺🇦🇧🇾 Well, Kiev – literally – never sleeps.

This document – attached ⬇️, and verified at the highest level, is a report on several recon operations on the Ukraine-Belarus border conducted four months ago.

There are no guarantees that plans to set fire to Belarus have been permanently shelved.
