But today I want to talk to you about something else I did, which is a film which I received a script of in 2017. And the script was about a journey into the history of the doctor-patient relationship approach from the point of view of the philosophy of medicine in the form of a historical fantasy drama. And it came with a note by the American director Terrence Malick, thanking the reader of the note in advance for the contribution to cinema. I didn't know what was going to happen then.
I wasn't quite sure why I had this sense that I needed to produce this film from that point of view back then. It's probably a crazy idea, maybe still a crazy idea today, to get involved in medicine, doctors—people don't go to the cinema for that."

“Doctors have been financially incentivized to vaccinate children for a very long time,” wrote osteopathic physician Dr. Joseph Mercola.
“In 2016, Blue Cross Blue Shield paid pediatricians a $400 bonus for each patient that completed ten vaccinations before their second birthday, provided 63% of their patients were fully vaccinated.”
A family physician with a thousand-patient practice could earn well over a $100,000 year-end bonus just from pushing vaccines on children. “So this is not pocket change.”

I am reminded of that pithy passage in Daniel Boorstin’s regrettably overlooked book, The Image. “The reporter’s task,” Boorstin wrote in 1962, “is to find a way of weaving these threads of unreality into a fabric that the reader will not recognize as entirely unreal.”
