The pernicious new selling of virtual travel is potentially a way to kill off the dream center of children, to kill their imagination. To move freely, even within the area from which you were born, is in my opinion the most indelible of rights. What is going on is a ruling class soft coup, a less overtly violent coup and their vision of a digital feudal planet is terrifying, if only because it is cannot possibly work. It is delusion."

The removal of coronavirus gene sequences that might hold clues to the origin of the pandemic virus sparked concern among scientists and U.S. senators.
Shortage of truck drivers in the UK
In this interview a BBC panel discuss the fact Brexit has caused issues with the availability of truck drivers in the UK but they also highlight that the same issues are also evident in France, Germany, Spain and elsewhere.
They mention long term issues in the truck driving industry including an aging workforce, the fact that the DVLA delayed the processing of HGV licences during the “pandemic” (down to just over 1k licences a week when 15k a week are now being processed, in part to clear the backlog).
Perhaps though the most telling part is that the ONS numbers show that a huge numbers of truck drivers had time out of the industry due to being off or self isolating during Covid but most critically that 50,000 truck drivers have completely left the profession since Covid began and most of these drivers were above the age of 45 years.
