I was delighted to be asked to give a book talk and join a debate at How The Light Gets In, the world’s largest festival of philosophy and music. I checked the website to ensure there were no discriminatory Covid Pass policies and agreed. So, I was surprised when someone who had bought tickets told me that they had cancelled their tickets because the festival had imposed the policy.

"When interviewed on Channel Four News, Professor Anthony Harnden, Deputy Chair of the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation stated:“My responsibility is to the children of this country and my responsibility is not to government.” This is clearly your responsibility too and, although government is pressurising medical advisers to give the go – ahead for vaccination of 12 – 15 year olds, it is essential that you stay firm and do the right thing by refusing to bow to political interference in what is essentially a matter of medical ethics.
Professor Adam Finn of The JCVI told Sky News:“We’ve been able to get really up to date information from paediatric cardiologists in The United States who are managing children who’ve experienced this myocarditis side effect. Admittedly small numbers but still some early concerns that this might be a problem in the longer term and that very up to date information is why we’ve kept to our line actually over the last two months that we should be cautious about this.”
In a letter to The US Food and Drug Administration on 8th December 2020, Dr Patrick Whelan from The Department of Paediatrics, David Geffen School of Medicine at University Of California, Los Angeles, wrote: “I am a pediatric specialist caring for children with the multisystem inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C). I am concerned about the possibility that the new vaccines aimed at creating immunity against the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein (including the mRNA vaccines of Moderna and Pfizer) have the potential to cause microvascular injury to the brain, heart, liver, and kidneys in a way that is not currently being assessed in safety trials of these potential drugs”.
Dr Whelan concluded his letter by stating: “In caring for children with MIS-C, I have been impressed with how widespread the organ involvement is, particularly given the absence of actively replicating virus in virtually all patients. Particular caution will be required with regard to the potential widespread vaccination of children before there are any real data on the safety or effectiveness of these vaccines in pediatric trials that are only now beginning”.

I have sought expert advice and established that my child named above is at unacceptable risk of suffering a life threatening adverse event following the Covid-19 vaccination.
As a result of this I demand you do not allow anyone to vaccinate my child at any time.
The JCVI advice upon which the decision to proceed with the vaccine rollout is generalised for all children, and has NOT BEEN INDIVIDUALISED FOR MY PARTICULAR CHILD and I will not permit you to risk ENDANGERING his/her health, or even his/her life in the interests of society at large. With the help of our advisors, we have investigated the various risk factors that pertain to this injection including excipient allergens, and other components. As the parent/guardian for my child I am ultimately responsible for their safety and wellbeing and do not delegate this to you in this regard as you cannot possibly be expected to have the time to explore to this level of detail for each and every individual child in your care.
Based on the detailed findings of this risk assessment, I expressly forbid this vaccination to be given to my child and will hold you PERSONALLY both civilly and criminally responsible for any harm that arises in either the short term (anaphylactic shock) medium term or long term, including myocarditis, pericarditis, blood clotting abnormalities, neurological injury such as transverse myelitis, Bell’s palsy, damage to fertility, ovarian damage(delete if male) and impact on puberty, physical maturation etc.
Information about the uneven distribution of this novel medicine within the bodies of children has not been sufficiently considered in the decision to extend to their age group, as per Pfizer’s own pharmacokinetics data, the risk of puberty blocking and the high rates of heart inflammation in young people especially boys, as reflected in the MHRA yellow card system all of which I consider negligent, so to proceed is failing YOUR DUTY OF CARE TO MY CHILD. The concept of using ‘Gillick competency’ which was established for fully reversible contraception, has been superseded by the 2020 case Bell v. "A report released last week by Public Health Ontario (PHO) showed the incidence of heart inflammation following mRNA vaccination was significantly more prevalent in young people.
As of Aug. 7, there were 106 incidents of myocarditis and pericarditis in people under the age of 25 in Ontario — slightly more than half of the total of all such incidents, the Toronto Sun reported.
There were 31 cases in the 12- to 17-year age group and 75 cases in 18- to 24-year-olds. Eighty percent of all cases were in males.
