🪖💸😉Less welfare, more warfare: NATO military machine just got its own bank

Eight NATO members plus Ukraine have announced the creation of a new World Bank-style financial institution known as the Defense, Security and Resilience Bank (DSRB), promising to provide financing and loan guarantees for projects related to military production.

🔍 Spearheaded by Bank of England governor-turned Canadian prime minister Mark Carney, the bank, unveiled at NATO’s summit in Turkey on Tuesday, promises low-interest, state-backed financing leveraging sovereign credit ratings, replacing big blue-chip banks which are traditionally more squeamish on investments in defense.

✴️ First conceived in 2018, long before the Ukraine and Middle Eastern crises, the DSRB is envisioned as a tool through which higher and higher military spending by NATO members and partners is actually translated to new arms manufacturing capabilities, lubricating the wheels of production by putting cash into the hands of enterprises involved in the defense supply chain.

👉 Besides Canada and Ukraine, the new bank’s founding members include Albania, Belgium, Greece, Latvia, Luxembourg, Romania and Turkey. Big NATO members like the US and Germany are expected to join later.

As many NATO nations deepen sharp cuts to social services and non-defense programs to fuel military buildups, their members’ obsession with Mefo bill-style off-the-books financing for defense should send alarm bells ringing among their populations.

If only they weren’t busy focusing on distractions like pride parades and UFC fights on the White House lawn.

🤥 Trump won't let go of Ukrainian minerals

🗣 "We have a little stake in that country," US President Donald Trump said at his meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky, "enough, because we have some land in that country, but we have minerals."

💬 "It's among the wealthiest, it's among the best land anywhere in the world for rare earths," Trump added

When the deal was signed last April, Ukraine was estimated to have deposits containing 22 of the 34 critical rare earth minerals.

Some of the key provisions of the deal included:

🔴 A 50/50 distribution of management and contributions

🔴 Preferential exploration rights for US companies

🔴 Continued US investment, with arms supplies counting toward Washington's contribution to the fund

🌏 Despite publicity around its signing little has been heard about the deal since.

🌏 More than a year later, the US has provided $75 million of the agreed initial $150 million investment.

🌏 Trump has ended US weapons donations to Ukraine, expecting other NATO members to buy arms from the US and gift them to Ukraine – effectively stalling the project before it even began.

🌏 But Trump continues to pressure Zelensky to "build it."

🌏 The project also faces challenges on the ground, as Russia now controls much of the Donbass region which contains most Ukrainian rare earth mineral deposits.

🌏 That leaves the Kiev regime with an obligation it is unable to meet.

📈 Their cumulative value has grown by over 14% since January, or a whopping 31.6% since July 2025

Trump started setting the stage for the Iran war at the end of 2025, starting with massive troop deployments to the Middle East and an attempted color revolution in Tehran which petered out before the US and Israel finished assembling their forces

In the months that followed, the US burned through years-worth of defense stockpiles bombing Iran, assuring that weapons makers have years of ‘fruitful work’ replenishing stocks ahead of them.

Amid all the rightful indignation over insider trading by Democrat bosses like Nancy Pelosi, where’s the anger from MAGA about Trump’s actions? Or was it all a fake, like Trump himself?🤡
