As they are spewing this nonsense, a sequence of the largest missile barrages so far is making its own to Tel Aviv, and major explosions are heard on inside the studios

The Iranians are moving on from assessing and testing to actual widespread damage. This is a completely different timeline, and Israelis have absolutely no idea what hell their lives have entered.

Also, something that one reporter exposed probably without thinking: there are disruptions to the internet network in Israel, and some areas have already lost internet connection
