In addition to banks closing branches or restricting branch opening times for those that they haven’t closed, some banks are further plotting to discourage, deter and obstruct customers from using cashiers/counters and human interaction by telling customers to use ATMs inside/outside branches and only to use the counters in “exceptional” circumstances, further denying the community a full service

You can fight back against these “policy decisions” in a number of easy ways.

1) state you have a disability and you are protected under the Equality Act 2010 - you do NOT have to explain what your disability is because you’re entitled to your medical privacy.

2) Say the cash withdrawal note denominations your require cannot be chosen at an ATM or you’re seeking to have your deposit processed instantly.

3) Say you have no confidence in ATM security or privacy and the bank cannot guarantee you won’t be the victim of a cloned card, PIN number “shoulder surfer” criminal, distraction scam etc

4) You refuse to use ATMs because any incorrect amount the ATM gives you is impossible to prove and takes months to settle - that you have NO confidence in an ATM

5) you lost your glasses and can’t see the screen

Use any or a combination of the above reasons. If you are challenged simply start a formal complaint with your bank and then after 12 weeks refer it to the banking ombudsman which costs banks hundreds of pounds to participate in, yet free for the customer. Complaint stats against banks count for overall published satisfaction scores which they dislike.

Where there is a need, there is a right

If you need things explained to you slowly and you need “help” the banks MUST help you, especially if you have a disability which can be an intellectual impairment amongst many - you don’t ever have to disclose any info relating to what you claim.

FIGHT BACK every time you use a bank counter and are told you’re not supposed to! If everyone does this there will be significant pushback

Will we decide that producing food in the UK matters?

Public have experienced rationing over the last few years with Covid and then shortages of salad and eggs.

Trade deals have hurt Britsh Farmers and I do not support them.

58% of farmers voted to leave the EU.

We still don’t have a plan for our food strategy or food production.

70 million people on an island. It is critical that we have a meaningful food strategy.

I hope food will start to be taken as seriously as energy security.

Farmers feel very concerned about the lack of a strategy for the road that they are on.

There are lots of legislative targets on green energy, planting trees etc but we have no target on food yet which seems extremely remiss.

60% self sufficient in the UK for food for the last two decades but it is slipping now.

Farming is tough, it is 24x7. We are not valuing our food.

For one week in lockdown the govt thought that we were going to run out of food and I was getting panicked messages from govt.

Then we got back to normal and just taking food production for granted again.

The argument has always been that we are a wealthy nation and we can just import our food and that has been shown to be not fit for purpose.

We should have the same ambition for food as we do for other environmental matters.

We should not be reliant on other countries for food.

Are politicians going to take food seriously?

PETITION ‘FREE Reiner Fuellmich ’

Request for humane treatment and the immediate release of Dr. Reiner Füellmich

"The international community of signatories to this statement of support demands the immediate release of Dr. Reiner Füellmich, a lawyer and leading critic of the COVID 19 measures, who has been imprisoned since October 2023.

Dr. Reiner Füelmich has been held in custody since October 2023. He was arrested under dubious circumstances at Frankfurt Airport on October 13, 2023.

The case of Dr. Füellmich has raised serious concerns about the legality of his detention and the integrity of the judicial process. Of the initial 18 charges against Füellmich, only one remains, with regard to personal loans.

Under German law, the maximum duration of pre-trial detention is six months, as described in § 121 paragraph 1 of the German Code of Criminal Procedure (StPO). “Special or important reasons for extending pre-trial detention after six months are not clear. ” This allegation emphasizes the urgent need to reassess the continued detention of Dr. Füellmich.

Dr. Füellmich is currently being held in Rosdorf prison, near Göttingen, where he resides under severe and insulating conditions. He is separated from other prisoners, only gets time in the courtyard in seclusion, and his communication with the outside world is limited to just three hours of private visits per month... "
