LOCKSTEP TOWARDS WAR!

"Why is The West ramping up calls for war? πŸ€”

Well, here’s the abridged answer:

The West is fucked.

Morally, politically and, most importantly, financially.

A war solves all of the above problems for those in power.

I know most of you know this. But it appears many are still unaware of what is happening."

PETER HITCHENS: If we don't want death, blackouts, and busybodies in every corner of our lives, end this brainless march to war

"What Mr Shapps does not seem to grasp is that Britain became great by staying out of continental conflicts, and letting others do the fighting. Even in the battle against Bonaparte, we paid our European allies to do most of the hard work.
Our greatness ceased when bombastic moralising took over, in 1914. We flung ourselves, supposedly nobly, into a Russo-German war. Within two years we were bankrupt, and bereft of the flower of our young manhood.
People still refuse to believe me when I say accurately that Britain has not paid off its huge 1914-18 war debts (now worth about Β£40 billion) to the USA. But I promise you it is true.
Four years of terrible loss left the Russo-German problem unsolved and we had to do it all again in 1939. After that we were even more bankrupt, and in 1946 had to ration bread, like some desperate People’s Republic. But for many years afterwards we were largely governed by grown-ups who had fought in actual wars and been wounded, and had seen death very near them, or endured bombing and a war economy. And so we largely stayed out of major foreign trouble.

If you go on backing this policy, you could be condemning yourself, your children or grandchildren to a world of war, privation and perhaps conscription into some sort of military service.
Wars mean death and wounds. They mean shortages, rationing, electricity blackouts, travel restrictions, busybodies interfering in every bit of life, and with much more power. Not to mention danger – missiles have astonishing ranges these days. What exactly would this one be for?"

Believe the UNRWA-Hamas fable? Well done! You've been conned by Israel once again!

28th December 2023:

"Israel is hoping to push the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, out of the Gaza Strip post-war, Channel 12 reported, citing a high-level, classified Foreign Ministry report.
According to the report, the document recommends three stages to the move. The first involves a comprehensive report on alleged UNRWA cooperation with Hamas, which rules Gaza, and the entanglement of the UN body that provides welfare and humanitarian services for Palestinian refugees from the 1948 and 1967 wars and their descendants, with the terror group.
The next stage would see reduced UNRWA operations in the Palestinian enclave, amid a search for a different organization to provide education and welfare services. In the third stage, according to the report, all of UNRWA’s duties would be transferred to the body governing Gaza following the war."

War is peace

"The Ministry of Defence was formed in 1964 as a combination of five departments of state that included the Admiralty and the War Office.
The name is an Orwellian inversion given that the UK has a consistently aggressive military posture. Properly speaking, Shapps’ job title should be Secretary of State for Offence, or Attack, or War. It is a long time since British armed forces defended anything, certainly not the interests of the British people.
Shapps’ job of course is to advocate for militarism in the interests of the arms companies, spook agencies and foreign governments to whom he is answerable."

Another trap for EU?

Joe Biden has announced a suspension of gas exports to countries without free trade agreements with the U.S., attributing the decision to climate change concerns.

This policy essentially ceases LNG exports to much of Europe and Asia (pic).

The suspension pertains to new LNG projects, while existing gas deliveries to the EU under current agreements will continue.

ANY IDEAS about a specific gas-rich nation, potentially impacting global gas prices, benefiting from that?

More details on yesterday's news about the ban on new U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) export projects:

It's a brilliantly orchestrated scheme.

Step 1: The U.S. prohibits Europe from buying 'totalitarian' gas from Russia, replacing it with U.S. LNG at a higher price.

Step 2: The U.S. triples its exports to Europe at exorbitant prices (see pic).

Step 3: Without access to cheap resources, industries flee from the EU to the U.S., including big names like Mercedes and VAG.

Step 4: Europe wants to scale up imports, meaning building more terminals to reduce gas prices and bring back industry.

Step 5: The U.S., under the guise of "saving the climate," bans new LNG projects, keeping prices high and supplies limited.

Next step is to request funds to build some green-climate-lgbtq-environmental-friendly terminals and ships.

Whoever is behind this, the strategy is executed brilliantly. Europe is now irreversibly dependent on U.S. gas. It's expensive and only suffices for essential needs. Industries are fleeing, and there's no light at the end of the tunnel, as new projects to reduce gas prices are banned by the U.S. itself.

Freedom and Independence made European way

The EU plans to sabotage Hungary's economy if Budapest blocks the new aid package for Ukraine at this week's summit, according to a confidential plan developed by Brussels.

A document drafted by EU officials and reviewed by the Financial Times outlines a strategy to directly target Hungary's economic vulnerabilities, threatening its currency and causing investor confidence to collapse if Budapest vetoes aid to Kyiv.

The document states that if there's no agreement at the February 1 summit, other heads of state and governments will publicly declare that in light of Hungarian Prime Minister's uncooperative behavior, they cannot envision EU funds being provided to Budapest.

Without this funding,
financial markets and European and international companies might be less interested in investing in Hungary
the document reads. Such a move
could quickly provoke a further increase in the cost of financing the public deficit and a fall in the currency value.

The document, prepared by an official of the Council of the EU, a Brussels body representing member states, details Hungary's economic vulnerabilities, including its "very high public deficit," "very high inflation," weak currency, and the highest debt service payments in the EU relative to its gross domestic product.

This situation represents blatant blackmail and an open threat. Such is the state of the so-called united European family of nations.

And now, open threats to break the economy of a country. Who will suffer from this? The citizens, not OrbΓ‘n. It's a message to the citizens - if anything goes wrong, he is the one to blame, start a revolt.
