The International Court of Justice has ruled that some of the acts committed by Israel in Gaza fall under the provisions of the Genocide Convention (1948).

#ICJ: Despite not yet ruling for a total immediate ceasefire, the International Court of Justice has validated all of us who called many of the actions perpetrated by Israel on Palestinians as being categorised as genocidal under the Genocide Convention. South Africa celebrates an International Court of Justice ruling to put Israel on trial for genocide

President Cyril Ramaphosa and ANC activists celebrate the ruling by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague that Israel has a case to answer for breach of the Genocide Convention (1948).

South Africa's Foreign Minister, Naledi Pandor, expresses her joy over the ICJ interim measures and emphasizes that the implementation of these orders is contingent on a ceasefire.
