Donetsk has become a center of attacks in the last weeks and particularly yesterday with a reported over 350 shells hitting the city. One of the main maternity hospitals was hit. On our way into Donetsk, we went to investigate the attacks on the hospital. We found a heavily damaged hospital with hundreds of expecting mothers, babies, and new mothers hiding in the basement. One baby was even born in the basement. The mothers, nurses, and doctors all blame Ukraine for attacking their hospital and other civilian areas in Donetsk over the last 8 years. 24. The Bill gives the DfE the right to close down independent schools and make it an offence for the school to continue to operate.
25. Independent schools will need to apply for DfE approval if they change their details, including: the proprietor, the address, the age range of pupils, the maximum number of pupils, whether the school is for boys or girls and whether it provides accommodation.
What this Bill does to you is take away your right, as a parent, to choose the education for your child and gives that right to faceless civil servants in the DfE who do not know your child. It makes all education provision come under the control of the DfE and local authorities with no exceptions.

WHO to Convene Emergency Committee on Monkeypox: "It’s Now Clear There is an Unusual Situation"

The World Health Organization (WHO) will convene an emergency committee next week to determine whether monkeypox represents a "public health emergency of international concern."

The meeting will take place on Thursday, June 23, WHO director general Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesu announced at a Tuesday (June 14) media event.

"It's now clear there is an unusual situation, meaning the virus is behaving unusually from how it used to behave in the past," Adhanom Ghebreyesu said. "It's affecting more and more countries, and we believe that it needs some coordinated response because of the geographic spread."

The organization doesn't want to wait to convene a meeting until the situation is "out of control," WHO Aassistant director general Dr. Ibrahima Socé Fall added.
