The united non compliance was a good strategy for the injections. A bit powerless towards the sanctions and war propaganda. However going against the narrative is essential, not in order to endorse Putin, or to see him as a saviour, but to limit the consensus for the suicidal damage both sanctions and prolonged war will inflict on the people of Europe & beyond.

UKRAINE in a nutshell: It's the neocons in the US squeezing Europe by separating Russian gas from German industry. European instability also favours the $ over the €. At the same time the EU wants to expand into the Ukraine market but before the war there was public resistance to more immigration, now the sympathy for a refugee population suffering the consequences of war will make that an intolerant position and facilitate EU expansion, followed by a push for some NATO association. Russia instead wants a buffer to any NATO expansion: East Ukraine, Crimea and the ports along the Black Sea. The river Dnepr forms a natural geographical separation between East & West, Russia is also pushing towards it. This will be decided militarily.
