7 LESSONS FROM THE ANTS

The Bible uses ants as an example of wisdom and diligence, particularly in Proverbs 6:6-8 and Proverbs 30:24-25. These passages highlight valuable lessons we can learn from ants.

1. Diligence and Hard Work

Proverbs 6:6-8 Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest.

_Ants are self-motivated and work hard without needing external supervision. They teach us the importance of taking initiative, being proactive, and working diligently toward our goals.

2. Planning and Preparation
Proverbs 6:8 Ants "store their provisions in summer and gather their food at harvest."

_Ants prepare for the future by gathering and storing food during times of abundance. This teaches us the value of foresight, planning, and preparing for times of scarcity or difficulty.

3.Wisdom in Smallness
Proverbs 30:24-25 Four things on earth are small, yet they are extremely wise: Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer.

_Despite their small size and limited strength, ants accomplish great things through wisdom and teamwork. This reminds us that even those who seem insignificant can achieve remarkable things through diligence and smart strategies.

4. Teamwork and Unity
While not explicitly mentioned in the Bible, ants are known for their cooperative behavior in nature.
_Ants work together seamlessly to achieve common goals. This teaches us the importance of networking ,collaboration, unity, and supporting one another in our communities and workplaces.

5.Persistence and Resilience
Ants are known for their relentless effort, even in the face of obstacles.
_They demonstrate the importance of perseverance and resilience. No matter how small or challenging the task, consistent effort leads to success.

6.Humility and Service
Ants work quietly and humbly, often without recognition.
_They remind us to serve others and contribute to our communities without seeking praise or reward. Humility and a servant's heart are virtues worth emulating.

7. Resourcefulness
Ants make the most of what they have, using their environment and abilities efficiently.

_We should strive to be resourceful, making the best use of our time, talents, and opportunities.

By observing the ways of ants, we can learn to live wisely, work diligently, and prepare for the future with faith and purpose.

Ponder on these lessons and apply where necessary in your own life .

And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.


While we can use the things of this world, of this earthly existence, we must not trust in them. We must not set our affections and hopes on them, for they are passing away. The whole "fashion" of this world is going to change, so that the next world will be radically different from it. We should be focusing on the things that will last into the next world and forever.


Prayer
We know, Lord, that it is easy for us to get too focused on the passing things of this life and to forget the eternal things that matter most. Help us to hold this world's goods "loosely" and not trust in them but instead in You. You are our inheritance, our portion, and our everlasting reward. Amen.

TOPIC: The Bereans: Researching the Scriptures to Establish Truth
TEXT: Acts of the Apostles 17:10–11

Introduction

In a time when many people accept teachings without questioning, the example of the Bereans stands out as a model of spiritual maturity. When the gospel was preached to them, they did not reject it—but they also did not swallow it blindly. They listened, then went back to the Scriptures to verify the truth.

This balance—openness and careful examination—is what every believer needs today.

1. The Right Attitude: Readiness of Mind

The Bereans received the word “with all readiness of mind.”

This means:

They were willing to listen

They were not defensive or prejudiced

They gave the message a fair hearing

Many people today fall into two extremes:

Some reject truth too quickly.

Others accept everything without thinking

The Bereans avoided both errors. They listened first.

Lesson:
A hardened mind cannot learn. A careless mind cannot discern truth. You must be open—but not gullible.

2. The Right Action: Daily Examination of the Scriptures

The Bible says they searched the Scriptures daily.

This tells us:

They did not rely on secondhand knowledge.

They studied consistently, not occasionally.

They verified teachings personally.

Notice something important: even though the message came from Paul the Apostle—a respected apostle—they still checked the Scriptures.

That is critical.

Lesson:
No preacher, teacher, or pastor is above scriptural verification. Truth is not determined by who says it, but by whether it aligns with God’s Word.

3. The Purpose: To Confirm Truth

They searched the Scriptures “whether those things were so.”

Their goal was not to criticize or find faults—it was to confirm truth.

Today, many people:

* Study to argue.

* Study to prove others wrong.

* Study to defend personal opinions.

* The Bereans studied to discover truth.

Lesson:
Your approach to Scripture matters. If your heart is wrong, even the right Bible study will produce the wrong result.

4. The Result: Strong and Genuine Faith

Because of their method, many of them believed (Acts 17:12).

Why was their faith strong?

It was not based on emotion.

It was not based on personality.

It was based on verified truth.


Faith that is not tested will not last.
Faith that is grounded in Scripture will stand.

Application to Our Lives Today

To live like the Bereans:

1. Be teachable
Don’t assume you already know everything.

2. Study the Bible personally
Don’t depend only on sermons.

3. Be consistent
Make Scripture study a daily habit.

4. Test every teaching
Compare it with the Bible.

5. Seek truth, not convenience
Truth may correct you—but it will also build you.

Conclusion

The Bereans were called “more noble” not because of status, but because of their attitude toward God’s Word.

In a world full of opinions, doctrines, and voices, the safest path is this:

Listen carefully

Search the Scriptures

Confirm the truth

If you follow this pattern, your faith will not be shallow, borrowed, or easily shaken—it will be solid and enduring.

Closing Charge

Don’t just hear the Word—investigate it.
Don’t just believe—confirm it.
Don’t just follow—understand why you follow.

Sermon Title: The Blood That Overrides Demonic Accusations and Patterns


Introduction
Beloved, the Bible makes it clear that we are in a spiritual battlefield. And in that battlefield, one of the greatest weapons of the enemy is accusation. The Scripture calls the devil “the accuser of the brethren.” In Revelation 12:10, it says he accuses us before God day and night.


The enemy does not come empty-handed—he comes with evidence. He reminds God of your past, your mistakes, your sins, your failures, and even generational patterns that seem to follow your bloodline.

But today, we are looking at a higher reality: there is a blood that overrides every accusation and breaks every ancestral patterns.

1. The Reality of Satan’s Accusations
The Bible says in Job 1:9-11 that Satan appeared before God to accuse Job. This reveals something important:
Satan operates like a prosecutor in a courtroom.

He doesn’t accuse without evidence.
He brings records.
He brings history.
He brings patterns.

He is chief accuser of the brethren: he knows that it's true that we did all those things he presented.
Yes, the accusations may be true but they are not final because of the blood, the death and resurrection of Jesus.

2. The Finished Work of the Cross
When Jesus died on the cross of Calvary, something powerful happened.

In Colossians 2:14, the Bible says:
“Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us… and took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross.”

Every accusation, every record, every evidence the enemy holds was nailed to the cross.

So when the enemy speaks, we don’t deny the past we present the Blood!

3. The Blood That Overrides Accusations
In the courtroom of heaven, your defense is not your righteousness it is the Blood of Jesus.

Romans 8:33-34 says:
“Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.”

Why? Because Jesus has already paid the price.

So you can boldly declare:
“Yes, I may have failed, but the Blood of Jesus overrides every accusation!”

4. The Blood That Speaks Better Things
The Bible says in Hebrews 12:24:
“The blood of Jesus… speaks better things than that of Abel.”

Abel’s blood cried for vengeance.
But Jesus’ blood cries for mercy.
Abel’s blood demanded judgment.
But Jesus’ blood declares forgiveness!

So when the enemy speaks guilt,
the Blood speaks grace.

When the enemy speaks condemnation,
the Blood speaks justification.

5. The Blood Breaks Evil Patterns
Some accusations are not just personal they are generational.
Patterns of:
Failure
Sickness
Delay
Sin

But the Blood of Jesus is not ordinary blood it is covenant blood.

In 1 Peter 1:18-19, the Bible says we were redeemed “with the precious blood of Christ.”

That means:
The Blood has the power to disconnect you from every evil pattern and rewrite your story.

6. Our Victory Through the Blood
How do we overcome?

Revelation 12:11 says:
“They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony.”

Not by effort.
Not by struggle.
But by the Blood!

Conclusion
Beloved, the enemy may have evidence but you have a greater defense.

When accusations rise, don’t argue apply the Blood.

When patterns show up, don’t panic plead the Blood.

Declare boldly:
“The Blood of Jesus overrides every accusation, every flaw, and every demonic pattern in my life!”

Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus,
I stand upon the power of Your Blood.
Let every accusation against my life be silenced.
Let every demonic pattern be broken.
Let the Blood of Jesus speak mercy, victory, and restoration over me.

*FIX YOUR EYES ON JESUS*

When you fix your gaze on your challenges, you become easily distracted. Your heart grows heavy, your mind becomes overwhelmed, and you may slip into anxiety, discouragement, or even depression. Frustration sets in, joy fades, peace is disturbed, and even your physical strength can be affected, you may lose appetite, motivation, and clarity of purpose.

But when you shift your focus from the problem to God, you find strength, peace, and renewed hope.
“Cast all your burdens on Him, for He cares for you.”

1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

When you release your worries to Him, you exchange heaviness for peace, fear for faith, and despair for joy.

Rejoice in All Things

Introduction:
This is a charge to maintain joy, prayer, and gratitude regardless of life’s challenges. It shifts our focus from fleeting emotions to a consistent trust in God’s sovereignty and faithfulness. It is a conscious choice to find contentment in God, not in our situations.

1 Thessalonians 5:16–18
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

This message is inspired by a true-life event and is meant to encourage anyone who is currently in a state of discomfort.

In a recent video shared on social media, Isaac Fayose tearfully revealed that his wife is battling cancer. He traveled to Australia to check on his family, and upon arrival, he met his wife in a very weak condition. In his words:

“My wife is not feeling well. It’s cancer. When I got to her, she was so weak she couldn’t even talk. Our one-million-dollar house couldn’t save my wife. My wealth couldn’t save her; she was just lying there. My money couldn’t even save my wife. It looks like I have to be both daddy and mummy at the same time. God doesn’t give us a burden we cannot carry.”

While reflecting on his words, I sensed in my spirit that our joy should not be tied to material things, money, relationships, positions, careers, connections, or businesses. Rather, we should rely solely on the promises of God, and regardless of what happens in life, we must choose to rejoice.

As humans, we are naturally inclined to feel pain when difficult situations arise. In many cases, we become overwhelmed by these challenges and forget to give thanks or remain joyful, no matter how tough the situation may be.

To the carnal mind, giving thanks in a painful situation may not make sense. But to the spiritual mind, it is an act of total surrender to God’s sovereignty over every circumstance.

It is also a way of saying, “God, please take control. I am weak and without answers, please help me.”

Ask yourself: how do I respond when challenges arise? Do I become angry, confused, or discouraged? The answer to this question is simple, give thanks, remain joyful, and continue to pray.

Conclusion:
True joy is not the absence of problems but the presence of God in the midst of them. When we choose to rejoice, pray, and give thanks, we demonstrate our trust in God’s power and His perfect plan. No matter what you are facing today, remember that God is still in control. Hold on to Him, stay joyful, remain prayerful, and let gratitude be your response because in every season, He is faithful.

Sermon: Victory in Jesus

Text : Revelation 12v11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

If you are keeping the devils property, he has the legal right to attack, molest and to disgrace you, the devil's property is "SIN", that is why the bible say in the book of

Proverbs 28v13
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

Before you attack the Devil and his cohort, you must come forward with a clear conscience. Just like the proverbs says, He who comes to equity must come with clean hands"

Overcoming spiritual attack involves taking a stand in authority, speaking directly to negative situations in Jesus’ name, and using Scripture to declare victory. Focus on covering yourself with God's protection, utilizing worship to shift focus from the battle to God's power, and maintaining a posture of faith, rather than fear.

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Key Aspects of Prayer During Spiritual Attack
Use Authority:

Do not just petition, but "command" or "rebuke" the spirits behind negative situations, acting in your position as a child of God.


Employ Scripture: Declare specific Bible promises, such as Isaiah 54:17 (no weapon formed shall prosper) or 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (demolishing strongholds).


Invoke the Name of Jesus: Cover yourself with the blood of Jesus and ask for protection (e.g., "I ask for total deliverance in Jesus' name").

Put on the Armor of God: Actively pray that you are wearing the full armor (Ephesians 6:10-18), including the shield of faith to quench fiery darts.

Remain Persistent: Continue praying daily, combining it with fasting to maintain focus on God.

Avoid Fear: Remember that the enemy is already defeated, and you are fighting from a place of victory, not for victory.

Address the Root: Use discernment to identify that your struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil.

The sin that so easily entangles," described in Hebrews 12:1, refers to any temptation, habitual vice, or weight that clings tightly, disrupts spiritual progress, and trips up a believer. It is commonly interpreted as a "besetting sin"—a personal weakness or sinful pattern that hinders endurance in the faith.


What is the "Sin that Entangles"?

Definition: It is a, sometimes "parasitic," sin that slows down spiritual growth and causes believers to "grow weary and lose heart".

Examples: It often includes specific vices a person frequently falls victim to, such as unforgiveness, bitterness, sexual immorality, or dishonesty.

Context: Hebrews 12:1 tells believers to "lay aside" this sin, along with any other "weight" or "encumbrance," to successfully run the race of faith.

How to Handle Entangling Sins

Fix Focus on Jesus:
The text advises focusing on Jesus as the author and perfecter of faith, who provides strength to overcome.

Actively "Lay Aside": This implies a deliberate choice to remove, break free from, or repent of these habits.

Repentance & Grace: Seeking God's mercy and using the promise of forgiveness (1 John 1:9) helps overcome these sins.

Remove Temptation: Avoiding situations that make "provision for the flesh" is key.Essentially, this verse encourages stripping off anything, whether a specific sin or just a distracting weight that hinders a devoted life.
