ABCD possibly relocating to Kerala. Any suggestions of cities to move to?
Hi guys. New to this subred and looking to be a regular. I am not literate in Malayalam (yet), so please bear with me.I am looking at the cities of Thriruvalla, Chengannur, Changanassery, and Trivandrum due to family. Might also look at Kochi/Ernakulum. The last time I visited was in 2013, so not sure how much smaller cities like Thiruvalla have improved. Background: Born and raised in the states. Parents looking to retire to Kerala.Would like to have access to:fast, reliable internet (and also electricity that is more reliable than avg)good hospitalsgood shopping centers for electronics/appliances; grocery stores that carry some western itemsdecent gyms to lift or train mma; also access to basketball courtsgood nursing home/retirement communitiesI'm thinking based on this, there are only two choices, Trivandrum and Kochi, right? If so, I would lean towards Trivandrum. Read that it is cleaner, safer, and cheaper (cost of living) than Kochi, and that a new huge mall is opening up next year, which could give me a taste of the West when I occasionally want it.Also, in terms of flooding, would Trivandrum be the least prone to flooding on my list? Thanks for any help.

How common is cousin Marriages in Kerala?
In the West it is seen as equal to incest, in the middle east it is really common and the norm in much cases because it helps to keep the wealth in the family.

18am Padi shows what's life like in both schools.
It's such a thoughtful movie, somebody worked really hard to offer the wide prespective from both sides of life. The kids from better means were just spoiled brats, sitting in their own filth while the kids from modest means are more mature. It shows how different is school when you come from different walks of life, one one hand you barely have resources to get by and on the other everything is well funded and waiting to get abused by the kids. The bus fight was incredibly unrealistic imo, what kind of kids run around a bus?The best part of the movie was Arya,Mamooty, Prithvi and A10

Why do people criticise anime
Im a fan of anime. I believe anime is not getting much attention especially in Kerala. Most of the people dont even know what anime is,and many of them thinks that its just cartoon made for kids. I really hate when people just criticise something they don't even know. And i want to know your opinion about anime and criticism of anime
