Raksha — Calling Sculpture
Stickers with a phone number and an urgent request to call are scattered around the city. The phone is connected to a simple vibration mechanism and placed inside a bowl of soft composite clay. Each call makes the phone shake and leave dents in the material. No one answers; callers are invited to leave messages on an answering machine. Random voices, saying any kind of nonsense, sound off-screen. The sculpture forms without intention, as a side effect of vibrations from a phone no one ever picks up.
