We have two teams from completely different levels here. Taurage are probably the 5thโ6th best team in Lithuania, while Nevezis honestly look like a team that should not even be here. Their roster and coaching staff are both very poor, and unless something changes, I expect them to finish at the very bottom of the table with a massive negative record.
Nevezis already lost by 20 points to Jonava, the 2nd-worst team in the LKL, by 17 to Juventus โ which I would actually consider a decent result โ and by 27 at Neptunas, after being down by around 40 points at one stage.
Taurage, meanwhile, went 5/5 in preseason, including a 77-68 win over Neptunas โ the same Neptunas team that absolutely destroyed Nevezis just a couple of days ago.
Iโm expecting around a 20-point difference today.

Why did we lose this one? Honestly, I have no explanation other than everything that could go against us went against us.
๐น Nevezis hit their last three-pointer to make it 81-76 from 81-73.
๐น Taurage then missed both free throws with just 2 seconds left, with the score at 81-76.
๐น Taurage were leading 49-36 at halftime in a completely one-sided game.
๐น And surely it had to be not about the last minute of the game - Taurage were more than awful in the 2nd half while it looked liked pros vs amateurs in the 1st half.
Somehow, we ended up losing the pick.
Yes, we got the Unicaja handicap, followed by the Over, with the game going exactly as predicted. ๐ข
We also had ASVEL to win at good odds. ๐ข
Taking Lietkabelis to win was also a great-value pick. That's one of those rare losing picks where I don't blame myself at all for taking it. The odds were @7, which was more than good enough to take, and Lietkabelis were behind 88-87 with 40 seconds left.
Unfortunately, Roma's quality took over in the final moments, while the home side also had an incredible shooting night. ๐ฏ
What I really regret is taking King Wilki Over 170, which finished on 169 points.

This is pretty much what I was expecting. Same was happening last season - same happen this year - Zalgiris is loosing or either not covering the handicap against the teams which are collected from the streets after being able to blow out Europe's grand - Barcelona. Typical situation when one of the main sponsor is a betting company. Glad I did not go with Zalgiris handicap pregame.
However you can't make it more obvious working for a bookmaker and loosing to the 2nd division team in Lithuania, no matter you have the guys working in Nevezis from Zalgiris office.
I am not going with Zalgiris -7.5 FT - knowing them it might be quite tricky. What we used to get in the previous season was Zalgiris coming strong after the HT break - win a quarter by 10-20pts range and then coming back with the same mentality as they've played in the 1st two quarters.
Logically thinking - Zalgiris should demolish this joke team, but knowing their mentality - they might get relaxed once again after they control the game. 3rd Q handicap looks best.
P.S. our under 170.5 FT taken pregame looks good enough knowing Nevezis is hitting their max so far.

Valanฤiลซnas brings offensive power, but his lack of mobility can be a problem defensively. Then there's Edwards, who keeps taking half-court shots. It's all fun when he makes 50% of them, but over a full season, I seriously doubt this style of basketball is sustainable. I understand the logic behind it to some extent, but it's not something I'd want to rely on long-term.
Efes are coming off three consecutive losses against Crvena Zvezda, Olympiacos and, surprisingly, Bayern. Still, they have quality guards like Loyd, Strazel, Payne and Dozier, alongside ล ariฤ and Fernando in the frontcourt. Their bench also looks stronger than ลฝalgiris' options, such as Sirvydis, Giedraitis and Ulanovas.

Bayern is down 27 and our -3 handicap looks safe here, but I am adding -22.5 here also.
Predicting them winning 2nd half by 5 looks like mission impossible - they are too late in every aspect and look like amateur team agains well prepared Dubai which is in general in awesome form and has 12 equal players, so playing with bench should mean even more advantage for Dubai

A perfect fit for a high scoring game. Cluj still remain the same style team like previous season, but the opponents so far were not good for a high scoring game, especially when you have such slow team like London Lions (by the way Lions scored 89pts to Cluj defense 2 days ago with 2/20 threes).
Studentski Centar or SC Derby as some call them is one of the fastest teams in Adriatic with even worse defense than Cluj. This Monday we took Dubai -19.5 and Dubai over 91.5 and the game finished 108-90 with Dubai not playing as fast as Cluj (but of course having more quality).
My real expectations here - 190-200 or more.
