QForm UK Achieves 3rd Place in NUMISHEET 2025 Industrial Benchmark Evaluation! ๐ฅ
We are proud to announce that QForm UK secured 3rd place in the Industrial Benchmark evaluation at the NUMISHEET 2025 conference, held from July 7โ11, 2025.
๐ช๐๐คฉ
The Industrial Benchmark focused on a complex sheet metal forming task involving the production of the Mercedes-Benz T-Node component. Participants were required to simulate a one-step deep drawing process using a 1.5 mm thick sheet of 1.4301 stainless steel, followed by 3D trimming.
The primary objective was to design a defect-free deep drawing and trimming process that maximizes material utilization. Key evaluation criteria included the absence of common defects such as tearing and wrinkling, as well as achieving the highest feasible ratio of final part weight to initial blank weightโemphasizing both efficiency and sustainability.
The benchmark intends not to simulate the reference manufacturing process exactly but to design a stable and environmentally friendly process. The focus is on minimal thinning for reliable process control and high material utilization to conserve resources.
QForm UKโs strong performance highlights our commitment to innovation and sustainability in forming simulation technology. We are honored to be recognized among the top performers in this prestigious international benchmarks.

Events in Poland: Conference WPC25 and Basic Course on Aluminium Extrusion ๐จ ๐จ
The international scientific conference WPC25 Vitrintec took place on September 25โ26, 2025, at the Nosalowy Dwรณr Resort & Spa in Zakopane. The event was organized by the Faculty of Non-Ferrous Metals of AGH University of Science and Technology and the AGH UST Laboratory of Extrusion Processes.
At the conference, Nikolay Biba presented a new solution: Extrusion Link๐จ โ a new Industry 4.0 platform for collaboration and data exchange between extruders and diemakers. This concept significantly simplifies interaction between tool manufacturers - extruders - and finally consumers of aliminium profiles.
Following the conference, participants attended the Basic Course on Aluminium Extrusion, organized by QForm Group in collaboration with the AGH UST Extrusion Process Laboratory.
The course featured lectures from leading experts, including Dr. Eng. Jacek Madura (AGH University of Science and Technology, Faculty of Non-Ferrous Metals), Nikolay Biba (Micas Simulations Ltd., QForm Group), Paul Mordvintsev, and Rudolf Kenig.
