» فاجعه در امریکا: شلیک مرگبار ICE به شهروند آمریکایی و شعله‌ور شدن اعتراضات سراسری

- حادثه‌ای تلخ در مینیاپولیس، مینه‌سوتا، آمریکا را در شوک فرو برد. رِنی نیکول گود، شهروند ۳۷ ساله آمریکایی و مادر چهار فرزند، بر اثر شلیک گلوله‌ی یکی از مأموران پلیس مهاجرت و گمرک (ICE) جان باخت. این واقعه که در جریان عملیاتی گسترده از سوی ICE رخ داد، با واکنش‌های شدید عمومی و آغاز اعتراضات گسترده در سراسر ایالات متحده همراه شده است.

- گود، شاعری برجسته و برنده جایزه آکادمی شاعران آمریکا در سال ۲۰۲۰، که پس از انتخابات ۲۰۲۴ با خانواده‌اش به کانادا مهاجرت کرده و سپس به مینیاپولیس بازگشته بود، هنگام وقوع حادثه در خودروی هوندا پایلوت قرمزرنگ خود در خیابان پورتلند اونیو، حضور داشت. ویدئوهای منتشر شده نشان می‌دهد دو مأمور ICE به سمت خودروی او نزدیک می‌شوند. شاهدان عینی و ویدئوها حاکی از آن است که مأموران دستورات متناقضی صادر کردند: یکی خواستار حرکت خودرو و دیگری فریاد می‌زد که گود از ماشین پیاده شود. در ادامه، یکی از مأموران با تلاش برای باز کردن در خودرو و دست بردن به داخل آن، به سمت گود حرکت می‌کند. در این لحظه، گود با عقب کشیدن، سپس حرکت به جلو و چرخش ناگهانی فرمان، سعی در دور شدن از مأموران داشت که مأمور ICE با شلیک سه گلوله به سمت او، گود را از ناحیه سر هدف قرار داد. خودروی گود پس از چند متر حرکت، با یک ماشین پارک شده و تیر برق برخورد کرد. نکته‌ی تأمل‌برانگیز این است که مأمور شلیک‌کننده در تمام طول حادثه در جای خود ثابت ایستاده بود و ویدئوها هیچ نشانه‌ای از آسیب‌دیدگی مأموران را نشان نمی‌دهند. یک پزشک حاضر در صحنه نیز از کمک‌رسانی به رِنی گود منع شد و او حدود ۱۵ دقیقه بدون دریافت کمک‌های پزشکی در خودرو باقی ماند تا نهایتاً جان باخت.

- این قتل بلافاصله با روایات متناقضی از سوی مقامات فدرال و شاهدان عینی مواجه شد. در حالی که کریستی نوئم، وزیر امنیت داخلی، و دونالد ترامپ، رئیس‌جمهور، گود را به حمله‌ی عمدی به مأموران و اقدام «تروریسم داخلی» متهم کرده و از عملکرد مأمور دفاع کردند، شهردار مینیاپولیس، جیکوب فری، با مشاهده‌ی ویدئوها، این واقعه را «افتضاح» خواند. تیم والز، فرماندار مینه‌سوتا، نیز این عملیات را نتیجه‌ی «حکومتی که برای ایجاد ترس و تضاد طراحی شده» دانست. یک خبرنگار حاضر در صحنه نیز تأکید کرد که گود تنها قصد فرار داشته و فضای کافی برای حرکت بدون برخورد وجود داشته است.

- این واقعه موجی از اعتراضات گسترده را در مینیاپولیس به راه انداخت. صدها و سپس هزاران معترض در محل حادثه تجمع کرده و پلیس با گاز اشک‌آور و اسپری فلفل به مقابله پرداخت. پس از استفاده ICE از گاز اشک‌آور علیه دانش‌آموزان دبیرستان روزولت، تمامی مدارس مینیاپولیس برای باقی هفته تعطیل شدند. اعتراضات به سرعت از مینیاپولیس فراتر رفت و به بیش از ۲۵ شهر بزرگ آمریکا، از جمله آتلانتا، نیویورک سیتی، اوکلند و واشنگتن دی.سی، گسترش یافت و خواستار پاسخگویی و عدالت شد.

- در صحنه‌ی سیاسی، دموکرات‌ها خواستار تحقیق جنایی در مورد این حادثه شدند. جفریس، رهبر اقلیت مجلس نمایندگان، و چاک شومر، رهبر اقلیت سنا، هر دو خواستار تحقیقات مستقل شدند و شماری از اعضای کنگره از حزب دموکرات نیز بر لزوم بررسی قضایی تأکید کردند. این در حالی است که دولت فدرال ترامپ، موضعی کاملاً دفاعی در قبال مأمور ICE اتخاذ کرده و اقدام رِنی گود را «تروریسم داخلی» توصیف کرده است.

» Tragedy in America: Fatal ICE Shooting of U.S. Citizen Sparks Nationwide Protests

A bitter incident in Minneapolis, Minnesota, has plunged the United States into shock. Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old American citizen and mother of four, was killed by gunfire from an officer of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The incident, occurring during a massive ICE operation, has triggered intense public backlash and the onset of widespread protests across the country.

Good, a prominent poet and recipient of the 2020 Academy of American Poets Prize—who had moved to Canada following the 2024 election before returning to Minneapolis—was in her red Honda Pilot on Portland Avenue at the time of the incident. Released footage shows two ICE agents approaching her vehicle. According to eyewitness accounts and video evidence, the agents issued conflicting commands: one ordered her to move the vehicle while the other screamed for her to exit. As one agent attempted to force the door open and reached inside, Good reversed, then moved forward while swerving to distance herself from the agents. At that moment, the ICE agent fired three rounds into the vehicle, striking Good in the head. Her car traveled a few meters before crashing into a parked vehicle and a utility pole. Notably, the agent remained stationary throughout the incident, and the footage shows no signs of injury to the officers. A physician present at the scene was reportedly barred from providing aid; Good remained in the vehicle for approximately 15 minutes without medical intervention before succumbing to her injuries.

This killing immediately met with contradictory narratives from federal officials and eyewitnesses. While Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem and President Donald Trump accused Good of an intentional attack on the agents, labeling it "domestic terrorism" and defending the officer's actions, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey characterized the incident as a "disgrace" after reviewing the footage. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz remarked that the operation was the result of a "government designed to create fear and conflict." A journalist on the scene further emphasized that Good was merely attempting to escape and that there was sufficient space for the vehicle to move without causing a collision.

The incident ignited a wave of massive protests in Minneapolis. Hundreds, then thousands, of protesters gathered at the site, where police deployed tear gas and pepper spray. Following the use of tear gas by ICE against students at Roosevelt High School, all Minneapolis schools were closed for the remainder of the week. Protests rapidly expanded beyond Minneapolis to more than 25 major U.S. cities, including Atlanta, New York City, Oakland, and Washington D.C., demanding accountability and justice.

On the political front, Democrats have called for a criminal investigation into the incident. House Minority Leader Jeffries and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer have both demanded independent probes, with several Democratic members of Congress emphasizing the necessity of a judicial review. Meanwhile, the Trump administration has maintained a strictly defensive stance toward the ICE agent, describing Renee Good’s actions as "domestic terrorism."
