🔄 Proxmint update: more precise US targeting and quicker routing

⚡️ Routing is now regional.

Up until this week, regardless of the source, all connections to our gateway ended up in the same US location. Before their traffic even began, Europe and Asia were paying for a transatlantic hop. That has been resolved;
you will now automatically arrive at the closest entry point.

Time spent setting up a connection, both before and after:
• From Asia: 197 ms → 27 ms
• From US East: 86 ms → 17 ms

On your end, nothing changes. The same credentials, hostname, and ports.
To be more specific, this is the speedier handshake to the gateway. The exit you draw still affects per-request speed.

🎯 US targeting became more precise.

We located a block of home addresses that are listed in the US by the majority of geolocation databases but which are still listed as UK by Cloudflare and, consequently, by a significant portion of the internet. Approximately 1 in 13 of your queries, if you targeted the US, came from what those websites deemed to be the incorrect nation. Because they used the same database that indicated "US," our own checks were unable to detect it.
These addresses are no longer included in any pool. Re-measured over 158 requests: 0. You don't need to regenerate anything or alter your targeting because it is already applied to all active subscriptions.

🔍 A test connection reveals more

Instead of only checking our own database, the Test Connection button now examines how a major CDN interprets your exit. You'll see it marked when the two don't agree.
The majority of "why is my US proxy being treated as foreign" reports stem from this mismatch.
