If tradition holds true, the conclave to choose a new pope will begin about 15-20 days after Pope Francis died. (Looking May 5-10 timeline for the conclave to start)

The college of the cardinals will gather and vote. Interestingly, the longest period of time to select a new pope since 1900 was 5 days.

I'm guessing we will see a new pope selected before the end of May then.
