$45K in a month π€ One football livestream site, pop traffic only.
π $35K of that came in before the tournament even hit the Round of 16.
The setup: Arabic-language site, looks like a standard football news page until kickoff, then the player goes live. Traffic from Morocco to the US.
Like most publishers in this niche, they run pops next to AdSense, pops catching what AdSense won't touch.
π Going into the World Cup, they shifted more of that pop traffic to ProfitOn.
π€© Here's the part that actually moved the number: CPM didn't just sit there. A manager was on it the whole tournament, checking in as traffic ramped, making sure the rate kept up.
CPM on ProfitOn isn't fixed. It moves with what your traffic is actually doing.

Take a look π
Pops earn the most, you can see that on the chart. The real question is whether they fit your site.
If you run streaming or downloads, your audience is used to them, go ahead.
If people come to you to actually read, take a moment before deciding, you know your visitors better than any chart does.
Shuffle box is a good place to start if pops feel like too much. It sits right below them on revenue, so you're not giving up much.
Site button is a solid second format. It won't carry your revenue on its own, but it quietly adds to it without getting in anyone's way.
Browser notifications sit on the friendly side of the map for a reason, people opt in themselves, and the ads reach them after they've left your site. That's also why revenue builds slower, it grows with your subscriber base, not with today's traffic. A quiet first week is normal.
Native banner earns the least on the map, and it's still the right choice for some sites. If your audience is sensitive to ad load, protecting that trust is worth more than the difference in CPM.
If you're combining formats, pair one aggressive with one quiet. That way you get the revenue without doubling the pressure on your visitors.
See what's running in your zones right now, maybe there's room for an upgrade β https://shorturl.at/9e3cg

Spain isn't the only one breaking records this World Cup π
π A few records worth knowing about (the stuff relevant to our corner of the internet)
Most-watched soccer match in US TV history. USA vs Belgium, Round of 16, 30 million viewers on Fox. Soccer beating soccer's own ceiling in the US, repeatedly, all tournament.

Attention broke records this tournament. Revenue doesn't have to be the exception.
Google Search hit an all-time usage record. Nick Fox (SVP of Knowledge & Information in Google) called it the highest in Search's history, timed right to Argentina's stoppage-time comeback over Egypt.

Log into your dashboard. If you have a site added and a zone created but no tag installed, that zone is earning you nothing, right now, while you read this.
Installing it takes a couple of minutes once the zone exists. It's the one step between "set up" and "getting paid." Go finish it before Monday.
