time management tips #tipsbykhad

tip no.1: the urgent vs important quadrant
-> what does it consist of?
(a) urgent & important (UI)
eg. subjects you’re weak at
(b) not urgent but important (NUI)
eg. studying subjects you’re strong in
(c) urgent but not important (UNI)
eg. editing videos
(d) not urgent & not important (NUNI)
eg. watching Netflix
-> how this works?
allows you to prioritise your to do’s. write the short form (in the brackets) beside your to do list to take note what to prioritise

tip no.2: energy management
-> finding out your energy levels at different times
• draw a graph that shows how your energy levels changes during different times of the day
note: for this to work, observe your energy/study patterns at different times of the day
• organise your priorities (from tip no.1) according to your energy levels see what suits best. more energy required for more difficult tasks
-> renewing your energy (taking breaks)
• healthy energy food eg. almonds, energy drinks (healthy ones pls) etc
• exercise
• talk to other people
• spiritual recharge (pray, read etc)

tip no.3: plan overview of what you want to achieve every month
-> space out your revision plans over the months
- best focus on the weaker ones first

tip no. 4: time blocking
-> heard of it before? how does it work?
- plan each task at a specific time
- have blocks of time for studying, resting, having fun etc
note: be specific!!
eg. 8am: wake up
8am-9am: get ready for the day
9am-12pm: study 1
12pm-1pm: lunch break
and so on
- you can type it out like that, use google calendar (both) or use structured app (for iOS) that also allows time blocking

pictures above are examples of energy flow chart (everyone’s energy levels are different at different times of the day!)
+ example of a urgent vs important quadrant
