In order to help falling birthrates, the Korean government proposed a plan to have girls start school earlier, with the rationale being that the age-gap upon graduation would make girls and boys more attracted to each other.
However, the plan was almost immediately thrown out for being "regressive and sexually discriminatory", and seeing women as "reproductive tools".
