Dearest Leader,
This question must have been on your mind for quite some times now.
The question of "Why is that person not committed to vision of our organization"
??
You probably may have seen alot of their personal accomplishments and strength yet they fall flat in expectation when it comes to committing to the common dream of your organization.
There could only be two reasons for this;
Either they are lone rangers meaning that they are just only capable of doing their things their way.
But again that may not be sufficient knowing that no man is an island and that there is always a deeper yearning inside of everyone to be a part of something bigger than ourselves.
It now brings us to the next point;
Or that they don't believe in you or the vision you portray yet.
What this simply means is that they are not yet bought into you and the vision no matter how fantastic you think you and the vision is.
Either because they don't yet believe in you or the vision or you have not communicated your "WHY" well enough to the point that they are inspired to believe in you and the vision you carry.
As a leader, it is therefore your duty to do the following;
First, have a yardstick for separating those who are lone rangers from those who can and who are willing to be team with you
And most importantly, commit to training those team members to understand the WHY of your leadership and to constantly supervise them to ensure that they are adequately inspired to not just work for you but work with you.
This is leadership 101

YOU WILL NOT SUCCEED AS AN INDIVIDUAL

There is no such thing as a self made Millionaire.
This is what most people don't know.
That wealth flows in circles.
Among the poor, you will hear that I don't need anyone but God to succeed.
Yet you see those thriving already seeking to join cults, association, partnership etc
Because association breeds assimilation.
Reading Steve Covey' Book "7 Habits of highly successful people",
I found out that there is no such thing as independence. Humans must naturally grow in an atmosphere of interdependence to one another. Thats team work, directly or indirectly.
There is a reason you don't have every thing in yourself.
That's nature's ways of balancing you up so you can have need for all kinds of relationships hence a need for team Spirit.
Any individual who does not understand team work or how it works is a person who will always be in a perpetual lack and averageness.
Thus, I am persuaded to believe that the greatest disappointment one will have in this world is to have a spouse that is not a team player. Just the same way i believe that the worst thing that can happen to any organisation is to have members in it who are individualistic and self seeking in nature.
Team work give you an opportunity to create a mark beyond yourself. It aids you build relationships that will sustain you when you are falling.
It builds a good will for you that will become a legacy for your tomorrow. It gives you the privilege to serve others today that would in turn serve you tomorrow.
It widens your scope of influence and affluence by actively helping your team get better, you get better too.
By focusing on the the bigger picture of your team, you get to fulfill your personal goals simultaneously because the less is included in the greater.
Are you a team player?
In the organization you belong to, are you Individualistic and self seeking?

And whether you know it or not, those who understand it will always continue to thrive from it.
It is not always the best product that wins but the best marketed product.
You may not have a product yet, but believe me, you are your best product.
Attention is currency.
Even the Apostle had to ask for attention to be able to deliver "such as they had".
Until you are seen, you may not be noticed. If you are not noticed, you cannot be needed. If you are not needed, you cannot be appreciated, if you are not appreciate you can never be rewarded.
Rather than complain of the negative contents you see on the Media, show us what is better.
Show us YOU.
