Monroe, Connecticut: Waterbury police released body camera video of a long and wild police chase involving a woman wanted in connection with dozens of car break-ins.
Hannah Casperson, 25, of Brookfield, was being pursued by law enforcement after her alleged accomplice and boyfriend, Thomas Crawford, was caught by police Friday, Crawford was in Waterbury Superior Court Monday to face 41 counts.
Waterbury police said officers found Casperson after receiving information about her location and approached the Hummer she was in around 8:45 a.m. Sunday. Casperson fled the scene and led police on a chase crashed into a total of eight police cruisers and injured seven Waterbury officers.

Houston, Texas: Prosecutors say they will seek the death penalty for two of the three suspects in the death of Deputy Almendarez.
All three suspects accused of killing Deputy Darren Almendarez are being held currently without bond and are charged with capital murder. Two of those suspects were in court Tuesday morning.
"We are definitely under a crime wave in Houston, Texas," said prosecutor Caroline Dozier. "It's imperative we get this right. People need to be held accountable for the crimes they're committing."
Fredarius Clark, 19, also stood before a judge on Tuesday. Prosecutors say they'll seek the death penalty with Clark.

Carson, CA: A shooting on a freeway in the Carson area Tuesday left one person injured.
The shooting was reported at about 10:30 a.m. on the eastbound 91 Freeway near the Avalon Boulevard off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Paramedics sent to the location on a report of a shooting took a person to a hospital for treatment of an unspecified injury, the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported. The victim's condition was not immediately available.
The Avalon Boulevard off-ramp from the eastbound 91 Freeway was blocked while an investigation was conducted.
This is the second freeway shooting in the last 24 hours. A man was shot and killed on the 710 Freeway in South Gate overnight.

In eastern Texas, W. M. Soloman, 71, died when storm winds toppled a tree onto Solomon’s home in Whitehouse, about 100 miles southeast of Dallas, Whitehouse Mayor James Wansley said. Officials said at least four homes in the area had trees fall on them.
