A paramedic in Arkansas was arrested for allegedly cutting a diamond ring off the finger of a dead patient and selling it at a pawnshop. Authorities took Lisa Darlene Glaze of Hot Springs into custody around noon and charged her with a felony count of theft by receiving over $5,000, which is punishable by up to 10 years in prison. She also faces a misdemeanor count of unlawful transfer of stolen property to a pawnshop with a maximum of one year in prison, the Sentinel-Record reports. 👮🏻♂️

State authorities have suspended the license of a Colorado Springs daycare after 26 children – all under age 3 – were found behind a false wall in the owner's basement. The owner of Play Mountain Place daycare, Carla Faith, 58, is being investigated and three workers were arrested on charges of misdemeanor child abuse relating to neglect. (Those charges were canceled by detectives pending an ongoing investigation.) Faith was not arrested "as detectives pursue appropriate charges," according to CBS Denver. After a complaint regarding the number of children being housed at Play Mountain Place, the Department of Human Services (DHS) asked the Colorado Springs Police Department to assist with a welfare check at the facility on Wednesday.
Washington state police say a 14-year-old girl led them on a high-speed chase that ended with the girl’s arrest on charges of eluding police and driving under the influence. Washington State Patrol said the incident began around 12:30 a.m. Friday when an SUV sped off after a trooper tried to stop it in Puyallup, about 35 miles south of Seattle.
