Texas DPS Tracking K9 Bona on the Hunt

In Dimmit County, TxDPS Tracking K9 Bona and her handler tracked two illegal immigrants dressed in camouflage who attempted to hide in thick brush on a private ranch. With assistance from the DPS Border Mounted Patrol and U.S. Border Patrol, both illegal immigrants were located and turned over to Border Patrol.

NEW: 3 personnel found dead at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.

Police said the couple and the woman knew each other through their work at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

It is believed the three people died between the evening of Oct. 24 and the morning of Oct. 25, according to a press release from Wright-Patterson.

The deceased were identified as:

1st Lt. Jaime Gustitus, 25, who worked in the 711th Human Performance Wing. This is part of the Air Force Research Laboratory.

Jaymee Prichard, 33, who worked in the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.

Jacob Prichard, 34, who worked in the Air Force Research Laboratory.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is proud to recognize two outstanding teams honored by the Peace Officers Association of Los Angeles County (POALAC) at the 2025 Centurion Awards for their extraordinary service, innovation, and commitment to public safety.

The Major Crimes Bureau Organized Retail Crimes Task Force (ORCTF) was established in late 2023 In response to the rise of organized retail theft and “smash and grab” incidents across Los Angeles County. This dedicated team of more than 40 investigators, supervisors, and professional staff from stations countywide works closely with the LAPD, CHP, and multiple prosecutorial offices to bring offenders to justice. As of May 2025, the ORCT has investigated over 2,350 cases, made 1,150 arrests, and secured more than 750 criminal filings. Through 160 “Blitz” operations and the service of more than 1,000 warrants, the team has recovered over $45 million in stolen property and more than 100 firearms. Their success demonstrates the power of collaboration and sends a clear message that organized retail crime will not be tolerated in Los Angeles County.

The Malibu Task Force, a partnership between the LASD, the California Highway Patrol, and the City of Malibu, was created after the tragic loss of four Pepperdine University students in 2023. This joint effort marks the first time both agencies have worked in unison to enforce traffic safety along Pacific Coast Highway. Through consistent and targeted enforcement, the Malibu Task Force issued 11,804 citations in 2024, resulting in a 60% decrease in fatal crashes, a 12.5% reduction in injury crashes, and a 75% drop in fatalities. The program has since been renewed for two additional years, standing as a model for interagency cooperation and community protection.

A procession is underway to honor Officer David Cajuso, the Miami Beach Police motorcycle officer who died after a crash on I-75 in Hialeah.

Veteran Miami Beach Police officer killed in motorcycle crash:

Miami Beach Police officials confirmed the motorman was hospitalized in critical condition before dying from his injuries.

At a news conference Tuesday afternoon, Miami Beach Police Chief Wayne Jones identified the motorman as 33-year-old David Cajuso.

Cajuso, a 10-year veteran of the department, leaves behind a wife and three young children, ages 2, 3, and 5, Jones said.

Cajuso also comes from a first responder family, with his father a firefighter for Miami Beach Fire Rescue.

BREAKING: Truck hauling ‘aggressive’ monkeys carrying hepatitis C, herpes & COVID overturns in Mississippi. Sheriff says all but one of the animals have been “destroyed.” That last one is on the loose… somewhere out there… and that’s how the new pandemic starts…

"On 10/28/25 a wreck occurred on I59 near mile marker 117. This was a truck carrying Rehsus monkeys from Tulane University. The monkeys are approximately 40lbs, they are aggressive to humans and they require PPE to handle. The monkeys carry hepatitis C, herpes, and COVID. Tulane University has been notified and will send a team to pick up the monkeys tomorrow ( the ones that are still caged) .

All but one of the escaped monkeys have been destroyed. We have been in contact with an animal diposal company to help handle the situation.

Mississippi Wildlife and Fisheries is also on site with our local law enforcement.

We are continuing to look for the one monkey that is still on the loose."
