(WARNING 21+) Body camera and surveillance footage of an officer involved shooting that left a 40-year-old man dead in his New Orleans East apartment earlier this month was released by police officials Tuesday (May 28). The #NOPD released the footage Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. After the video was shown to media, they briefly discussed the content of the video and where the investigation stands. According to the NOPD, the officers Stephen Jones, Kevin Nguyen and Wayne Lewis will all be put back on street by week’s end as the shooting has been deemed justifiable. Disturbing footage has emerged of a man setting himself on fire and calmly walking around near the White House as police desperately tried to douse the flames.
