We don’t build on the ruins of failed ideas.

Polareg is crafted from the ground up β€” smarter, stronger, better. We learn from mistakes, never copy, and always innovate.

Over the past four months, Polareg has evolved with patch after patch, pushing the boundaries of strategy gaming. It’s decentralized, simplified, and redefines how games are made.

The easiest path isn’t always the right one. Real innovation takes purpose, depth, and hard work.

That’s why the Free Tier is expanded β€” so everyone can fully enjoy Polareg without spending a cent.

Because great games should be accessible, fair, and built on principles, not paywalls.

What’s New?

🌍 Unlimited Travel
Move anywhere, anytime. No visas or waiting β€” freedom of movement is now the standard.

πŸ›‘οΈ State Sovereignty Reinvented
Only residents with cities in a state can recruit divisions. Allied armies travel instantly with one click thanks to military agreements.

πŸ’° Free Market Resource System
Bid for resource deposits and rent them worldwide. Monopolies aren’t infinite β€” hold your power through strategy.

βš”οΈ Revolt Rework
Revolts don’t appear out of nowhere. They happen through army annihilation or neglected regions β€” neglect has real consequences.

πŸ•°οΈ Dynamic War System
Wars are now about timing, strategy, and endurance. No one fights forever without support. Battles are fast, intense, and tactical β€” not a waiting simulator.

πŸ™οΈ City Founding Bonus
Founding a city now grants players a free skyscraper and a crop farm, giving every new settlement a strong economic and food-production head start.

βš™οΈ Improved Performance & Mobile Optimization
Loading is faster, memory usage is lower, and the UI is now more responsive β€” especially on phones. While we’ve made Polareg smoother on all devices, we’ve deliberately prioritized quality, stability, and clarity over raw speed.

Polareg isn’t here to fit in.
It’s here to build what others won’t.

Greetings everyone,
Polareg admin here. I hope you're all doing well and staying safe.

I'm reaching out today to give you an update on the current state of the game, as well as to share some insight into the future vision for PG.

First off, I'm happy to report that PG's launch on Google Play was a success! The app is live, fully up to date, and running smoothly with an average server response time of 89ms, a solid performance overall. In terms of infrastructure, the game servers are rented and secured for another year, and many supporting services are covered for even longer. So rest assured β€” PG isn't going anywhere.

Over the past two months, I’ve been hard at work behind the scenes, testing new technology on a development server. The goal? To introduce more engaging and user-friendly mechanics that elevate the entire experience which is especially hard in modern days (of brainrot content everywhere.)

Lately, I’ve received a lot of questions about the perks system; specifically, why I seem hesitant or even reluctant to implement it in the way some players might expect.

I want to take a moment to address this directly.

Perk or a stat system is the easiest and cost effective for any lazy developer to do. It brings game progress which players expect but at the cost of long-term design integrity. Slowing down the progress itself is not THE solution. Projects who willingly adopt mentioned concept will eventually lead to a catastrophe; and either reset of people's perks or devaluate them. Personally, I despise those scenarios and I want to avoid them at all costs.

I am a proud player of strategy games myself, one could say a hard core one. Therefore, as a dev, I am focusing more on diversified forms of accumulating power, experience, numbers and quality.

Since the beginning of PG's development, the primary focus has been on game mechanics and complexity; pushing the boundaries of what the game could do.

However, I fully recognize that in doing so, design and usability have often been overlooked. That changes now. From this point forward, user experience, interface design, and overall accessibility will become a top priority.

The goal is to make PG not only deep and mechanically rich, but also intuitive, visually coherent, and enjoyable to navigate for both new and veteran players alike. I’m committed to bridging that gap without sacrificing the core depth that makes PG unique.

I’m confident these updates will bring exciting changes that you'll enjoy.

All new features will be rolled out gradually over the coming weeks, allowing time for testing and feedback to ensure a smooth experience.

Thank you for your continued support and passion for PG. Stay tuned. The best is yet to come.

Dear rulers of the Polareg world. Admin here, well so far and alive. I have big news for all of you. As you know, a few months back I have promised to you that I will deliver new UI improvements that is going to meet new industry standards of 2026. So I already did, to some degree. I can only hope you are satisfied with the improved look of the old segments and are looking forward for the next ones. There are dozens of less important things and integrations I could be flexing about here but I am not going to do it =D

In any case – that is not all.

For those not interested in technicalities can skip following italic text however I think it may be interesting for you.

As you know I have worked on the game already for some time and relied on (older) technologies (oftenly used back in time) capable of delivering the game experience I was looking for (as a player myself I always have had high expectations) which was not easy back in time.

As expected, and as the game progressed, I reached the limit of what engine used (especially for the world map) could do and I was forced to a decision if either to spend the time and remake the whole thing or keep what's already built.

I guess you have already guessed I decided to move forward and remake it as a whole. It comes with a small "price", from both me and playerbase but I hope we will be willing to "pay" it for a better good. I believe it will be a great opportunity to attract new players who are not exactly familiar with our niche and can bring new blood. Not through complexity, "fake" ads (which does not cover the contents of the game at all and sell just a fictional dream picture with a rainbow castle) like the competiton does or community gossip but through (let's be real – the first) game-like interactive experience Polareg has (even through in testing right now.)

For your imagination of what I am talking about: game already utilizes ORBAT system (division-like combat) but (unlike games like HOI, Total war etc.) does not offer any interaction with the static game map at all. For that reason one could even say that Polareg is not a game for the new generation of players... and that is what I decided to change. It also solves multiple causes of headaches at once (but not save you from reading this long text.)

Polareg will be introducing a completely new better looking map – way faster, with another 1000 additional regions, with new events offering direct interactions with the game world and combat and unit movement directly on the map. These events will be randomly generated every few minutes and should add a whole new level of gameplay (likely to become the most important of them all.)

So what is the cost? Let me be clear – everything stays the same... accounts, cities and factories are optionally movable and will become resource and gold free for a duration of implementing of the new map. The only thing that cannot be automatically transferred to the new map are which countries own which regions. For that reason I will offer a manual transfer for all countries that operate central banks and all other active countries whose owners will react to the following poll and have assigned their Telegram username to the Polareg game account which is a leader of the country. However, it is not in my power to transfer ALL the regions but one or two per country.

As a sort of compensation I will be offering premium, new weapons capable of destroying infrastructure, rations and military units in a form of events you can collect on the new map to boost your conquest.

Even through it may sound bothersome I believe you will like the new map, fighting controls and animations very much and will enjoy the conquest itself way more than simply getting regions transferred by itself.

For various reasons, I do not want to set a deadline for the update release but testing may range from a week to a month at most. I will leak some photos of the update beforehand.

If you have any questions you can contact me directly on Telegram @functionnotfound or through email support@polareg.com.

πŸͺ– NEW MAP WITH ORBAT, NEW DESIGN, REORGANIZED UI, NEW DEDICATED SERVER MACHINE, MANY NEW FEATURES, AND OLD FEATURES OPTIMIZED FOR A BETTER GAMING EXPERIENCE.

I greet you, the powerful of the Polareg realm. After a while, I bring you an update once again on what progress was made and what lies ahead (with the option to go deeper in the following discussion, which I encourage). As you may remember, I did not want to state an update deadline for a reason. Instead of upgrading the map, I changed almost the whole application. I continuously informed you on updates inside the game; however, the time has come for another detailed overview.

As some of you know, a few months ago I made a judgment call regarding the initial results of the simulated first wave of new players, considering retention and their feedback. Once again, a big thanks to the loyal country leaders who invited their friends. Based on that, I came to the conclusion that radical changes had to be made. Even though the results themselves were fine, they were not good enough. There is no point in having visitors with a retention of days or weeks when Polareg's real value lies in long-term gameplay. In that regard, the standard guide with dozens of pages, which would normally take years to read, was abandoned and reworked to suit new trends: point-by-point progress and an easier learning curve.

Players now have easier access to resources, currencies, gold, and a free 14-day premium subscription following registration. The price of premium was also lowered to €3, with a €2 price expected during sales on public holidays and other important memorial days. It was lowered in order to offer a fair price for players from countries with comparatively lower income, while reflecting the reality of the increased cost of maintaining the new servers. Polareg now has 100 times the computing power it had, with no usage limits, random blocks by the server provider, or annoying popups. The infrastructure will be further improved; however, based on estimates, it can support hundreds of players with no complications, which gives the game room to grow.

Two new types of resource acquisition were added and two replaced: Foreign Aid and Missions. Both offer everything the game can provide for smoother, faster, and more dynamic gameplay: free population, ready army divisions, and gold. Bureaucracy was replaced with Unrest. Objectives, which serve as a guide, were expanded. The most important thing: A NEW MAP with the Orbat military system. It is now possible to fight enemies directly on the game map and monitor their activity in real time. I want to state in advance that this feature is going to be further developed and will become the game's backbone. Telegram account verification has been added to limit disruptive spam accounts. AI safety and detection tools were implemented, and there are many more things for you to explore.

During the last 2 years, the game has gone through 3 separate identities, which led to the current and final design. From a financial perspective, I can say that not a single cent from in-game sales was wasted. Half was invested into hardware, and the second half waited until now in the accounts to be invested in ads when the time came. That time has come. The planned strategy will surface in the upcoming days and weeks on our social platforms; however, if you have experience in this field, any feedback is always welcome.

PS to all veteran players: Upon logging in, you may need to travel to a region of your choosing again, reapply for citizenship, and relocate your city, political party and factories to a place of your choosing. Everything else should look and work the same or in a better way than it used to.

I hope you will enjoy new features and wish you a great weekend!
